GMNET,

You can't blindly select president and vice president of the forum based on the votes. Have u seen few recommendations and how horrible they were in the past. You can't give 100% rights to voters since it could give inappropriate selection;

Let say if manipulator become president since we ( long forum users) know who they are; I am pretty sure I will not come to this forum... One day this forum will be banned. Better you discuss most appropriate way to select president and vice president.

I have found no issues with smallville or slstock. I don't think u need this blind election system.

Current Administrators are suppose to manage the Election Process. Do You want to appoint a Election Commissioner? It is not a bad idea.

I recommend that GMNet be the election commisioner. In the event of a coup an iron fist in needed and GMNet has proved that he is capable of being the judge, jury and executioner of the change over.

All hail the new balanced pro negative era under the leadership of the GMNet.

If we are to have democracy, we need to go by election and total votes. As you said I would also like if the final selection is done on the basis of merits and not totally on vote count. If GMnet get involved in the final selection, then exiting management will complain and accuse that we are trying to appoint one of our people as the President. Therefore we would like to stay out of the selection process. Further, I have no intention to stand for election.

Therefore, it is up to the membership to nominate and vote for the best candidate. I know this may not be the perfect selection system, but some system of appointment is better than, one set of individuals running it all the time.

According to my knowledge current so called management didn't get any info from your part regarding election or what to do.

Seems to be you are carrying out your own agenda and giving false info to the members.

I'm not challenging that you can run this forum or not, but never ever you can't keep the pride what this forum achived in the past.

Good luck mate.

BTW Sierra groups know what you are doing right now here?

Seems to be thier group quoted company kissing 52 weeks low at CSE, same time this forum esteem also hitting all time low.

According to information received, current administrators have been clearly told by the previous Administrator, Quibit that forum should evolve to have an election once a year to appoint Administrators. This has not been implemented by the current Administration for reasons only known to them. I don't know whether it is willful or by neglect that it has not happen since the previous appointment. I am fulfilling the obligatory duties of the current Administrators.

We have requested the previous Administrator Quibit to come back to the forum for a short period until the new administrators are appointed. I am sure we will soon see her in the forum.

You do have valid point. Out of 10500 I think nearly 8000 never post a single post. Even nearly the same amount never visited this forum for last 2 years.

But election comes one unknown to us might get 5000+ votes. Typical South Asian election mate.
