Why the controversy?

GMNet as the owning Company of the Sri Lanka Equity Forum becomes answerable to all the controversial content that is published by the unidentified individuals of the forum with pseudo names. No Moderator or Administrator wants to come forward and say who they are. They only want the power of the administratorship and recognition for all what they have done. They do not understand that the content in the forum should be balanced and unbiased. We have been very clearly informed by the management that as a reputed organization, we cannot become answerable to stock market speculation by group of individuals with their own agendas. They think this is another stock market mafia.

Administrators job is a clerical job and it does not require stock market expertise. Person should be with better inter personal skills and ability to understand the market from the overall standpoint instead of individualistic opinions. Both Slstock and Smallville may be experts in stock market but particularly Smallvilles interactive ability is highly questionable. There are many times that we have warned him to be little bit more diplomatic. Leave a alone, new members. These administrators harassed me for publishing an article from a reputed website. Articles content may be questionable, but they should realize that it is another opinion of another international research organization. So why blame me. Why kill the messenger? This why the Forum Administration need to be changed or reshuffled. Why would administrators are trying to tell the membership what is the market direction? Is Slstock a Mark Mobius? Smallville is Warren Buffet? No, not even Mark Mobius or Warren Buffet can determined the direction of the market with 100% certainty. So how would the administrators say that market cannot be 6800 in 2020?

Think positively. This is a new phase for the forum. Forum will always be larger than individuals who manage it. It does not matter whether the administrator is Quibit, Slstock or Smallville. There will be new faces, there will be new administrators but most importantly balanced articles and proper advise.

I have very little inter personal skills. I am here to do a job. Once the job is completed, I would be gone for good. You would not see me here again!! Forum will be your as always. But I am sure everyone will then realize why I did this!! and who are the ultimate beneficiaries.

so are you accusing those previous admins and mods having their own agendas and they are trying to fulfill them by spending 3+ years and making 5000+ posts  (each of them)?
or why couldn't you see the reality,
have you read all of those posts by them to understand what they are trying to tell each time?
basically they are trying to teach general public to get away from kind of agendas you are saying.

yes this place was a good place and was controlled carefully so everything happening is transparent, but I really doubt the direction of this forum in the future,
just see the posts that are being posted on last few days,

this forum had a good reputation for the quality of the content, that was done by those people who controlled it, that reputation can be killed in one day but once its killed we cant make it to grow back in one day.

I can see that you are here for to do your job but once your job is done will we have an OPEN forum to talk about stock market?

I see this Gmnet as some imature and unprofessional who lacks IQ to handle a task like this. All posts that makes him like a fool slowly deleted. Thats part of being unprofessional. Anyways time someone in the industry start a new forum.

Gmnet, i have been reading this Forum for many years though i just became a member recently, i honestly, did not see any biased opinion from people like slstock.
and i did learn something from them.
but i did lose a lot by listening to people in this forum, but i can only blame myself for not doing more research, myself.
So, after whatever you do, i hope we will not have any more people,who are Promoting the stocks they bought and unable to dump them, misguiding others.

My post with reference to the title "Balanced Opinions/Views from Sri Lanka Equity Forum" has been deleted by somebody.

I wrote that asking to solve this issue. Further, in future, we need to see this forum as it is. The way it heading today will not help to last long.

I have been reading this forum for last two years , even though participated on discussion very less .Over the period I have learned lot from the administration like slstock and smallville.

Also one thing I noticed with SLSTOCK that he seemed to be an individual driven by highest human value which will never recognized by people like GMnet.

What I can suggest GMnet is try to read all the post from SLstock , so you can learn not only in investing and how to behave in a forum and many values that will help you in your life.

there was a reply to this thread by an old mod "monster" (if i recall correct) and GMNet had posted a reply to that post also so WHO deleted those two?

people have being discussing things in a human way nobody act like thugs to suppress the genuine posts, if somebody cant back up what he posted something in an open forum he shouldn't be posting in an open forum in the first place.

an admin or a mod in this kind of forum ( we are not sharing pirated movies music software or other illegal things) must have very good people skills and good knowledge of the "things" that is covered in this kind of forum that is for the sake of thousands of other members.

I have already read all his articles including the articles posted by the Former Administrators of the Sri Lanka Equity Forum. So I hold the same business ethics and values.

What's happening? I posted a comment and GMNet replied to my comment. Now both have disappeared over the night. Who is deleting these comments. What was wrong in my comment? What was wrong in GMNet's reply?

It was the second comment deleted by someone, during this controversial issues.

I was a silent viewer of this site quite a long time, it was rather managed very well and useful but now it is becoming more hilarious and crazy it might be that all of them forget their fundamentals
