CHOT at Rs14.10

Total collection of crap as usual . People just read to see whether it make sense even.

Do you really think CHOT is a shell company...!!! I can clearly say that you have no clue about CHOT.
If I dont know something, i would just ignore it.

Whoever bought this at 14.10 are now sitting at least 12% profits.

Huge demand for CHOT at the moment. Pass 17.5 quite easily and heading 20+ region. Good luck to whoever bought this at low levels.

Once the current sellers gone, we will be able to see 20s soon. EPF bought same share at 32.! CHOT's new hotel in Kandy will be opened in September.

Hats off to whoever the guy collect this from 16 to 19. He is a genius (the way he/she collected the shares is really impressive)

Good if you had collected @ 14Rs now can sell @ 18.50.
Hotels in General will record less in profitibility in coming years.

Good luck with your holding, CHOT in my opinion is not a longterm investment any more.
Ok for trading like BUY @14 or 10 in the future if you get an opportunity.

No dividends only expect the price to rise otherwise sorry tama

Skyfall appreciate ur continous efforts on this share.i also got some handy profits, one f the reason for me to enter this is progress in polonnaruwa rest house.btw any target price.

This is now testing Rs20. Hold on guys. Still a long way to go.....

A very good day for CHOT holders. Your journey is not gonna end soon.

CHOT's new hotel in Kandy (50% of OZO Kandy) will be opened in September. It's located adjoining Swiss Hotel. Ideal location to build a new hotel & more importantly they are not planning to target the high end travellers (like many other hoteliers). Which I found a very stupid idea.

I don't average up shares normally. But with CHOT I had to break that rule.

They did renovate most of thier hotels and rest houses. I think renovation of Queens hotel will take only after opening the new hotel in Kandy.

That makes sense.

As I know CHOT owns the rest houses and KHC owns the queens and swiss and the adjoining land

The ulitimate listed company is CHOT.
KHC comes under CHOT.
Yes both Swiss and Queens hotels in Kandy own by KHC.

What I can say is that CHOT owns other assets such as rest houses which needs cash to refurbish so they will first make money in KHL and make it a dividend play for cash generation for CHOT. CHOT is already negative on earnings and to convert them will take a long time.

I think you are referring KHC not KHL?  
CHOT already refurbished thier rest houses and Queens hotels which comes under KHC needs refurbishment. CHOT has now converted their Tissa rest as a 4 star hotel called "the Safari".
I would be very surprised if they start refurbishing Queens hotel before opening the OZO Kandy in September.

Negative earnings? Of course it happens when companies try to refurbish thier properties. That's not something new to CHOT.
See the financials of SERV, TAJ, SHOT, HSIG, MARA, TANG etc....They all had rough patches when do refurbishments.
CHOT's earning will only get better in coming quarters.

I agree with you sky fall ...sometimes you shouldn't only look for stocks that are showing massive profits all the time, chances are that somewhere down the line profits too slow down. If a company is making a loss first see the reason why it's making a loss. if you can anticipate a turn around like Sky fall did, then pronto you should get in to it cos loss making companies share will be beaten to the ground. the moment it starts making profits share price will boom. If Anyone gets a chance to go to Kandy, you can see the glimpse of their latest 128 rooms hotel adjoining to Swiss hotel.

The best part is, this new hotel will be ready before coming winter. Good for all CHOT holders.
