Nobody is Perfect.
Dhammika Perera is not a genius. He had made many mistakes and some selfish decisions. These decisions have affected many small time investors. I want to list few of those.

1. influencing and forcing Samptah Bank, LB Finance, Vallible Finance to make over exposures in Pawn Brokering which had made huge capital loses.
2. Selling Kolpetty Building to LB Finance at a huge profit and depriving company of shareholders funds for lending activities. This property was owned by Dammika Personally.
3.
4.

List goes on. I guess others could add few more.

With GOLD price is set to to higher in coming years ... this is not a big issue for banks with high exposure to GOLD loans ...... Basketball

Nothing can go up forever.forever. Everytime we make the mistake. Morgage crisis to stock markets and now to GOLD.

Dhammika Perera did not buy Asian Alliance Insurance when it was offered to him at Rs 800mn. Subsequently Ashok Pathirage bought it for Rs4.5bn. Dhammika Perera yet to own a Insurance Company.

Dhammika Perera had to close down Clickon (switch and bulb factory) because Orange was smarter in their marketing strategy. Another failure of Dhammika Perera.

I agree he is not a genius, he is just a good businessman. His only tool is power and influence to succeed.....Steve Jobs, Jack Welsh ,Lee Iacoca are called genius..They had a charismatic leadership style..We had some good people who could have made a change in this country like Dr.Ray Wijeywardene ...we cant compare even our now businessman to this great personality

Recently, we could observe the difference in paying dividents in PABC after directors have sold a major block of shares. Directors milked it dry.

I agree he is not a genius, he is just a good businessman. I sincerely feel this country needs businessmen like late Mr Gnanam. What do you think?

He may not be a Steve Jobs but he has done enough to prove himself as a really talented person. Its a shame some people are trying to build a negative image of the most sucessful businessman sri lanka ever produced.
No body is 100% perfect.
