Within the last few weeks there has been an increase of about 15% in CHOT. The qty has also increased and buyers have come on to the book. I clearly see value in CHOT when you look at the book value and also future potential, but is there any reason for the short term rise? There is also talk of a delisting since the Gardiners control more than 75% of CHOT. Either way, this is a long term investment in my veiw. It seems like it's hard to collect below 16 now that the stock has moved from 15 to 18 within the last 7 days. Any opinions on CHOT?

Some experts dont like CHOT. They think its a non functioning junk share. EPF bought a large chunk of shares around Rs32.
They are going to open a new hotel in September.
One of the most undervalued hotel sector share at the moment.
Both queen and swiss hotels in Kandy comes under them.
Their new 1.5billion hotel will come to live in this September.
Also Queens hotel capacity will increase to 77 A/C rooms.
You know how difficult to find good hotels in Kandy
Good times ahead with share.

Once their new Kandy hotel open you will not see these low prices. Below20 is a really good entry point.

New OZO hotel in Kandy will be opened in September 2014.

You will not see these low prices by then. Current NAV is Rs34 and EPF bought a stake at Rs32.
