we all know sri lankan retailer mentality . just look at those junk soap operas which shows around 8pm to 10 pm . people are living in a virtual reality . and some big multimillionaires benefit with this wild mental behavior . and this where you need strict LAW SYSTEM . LIKE IN SINGAPORE . other then that we never see a control on manipulation . period.

Why should we follow anyone and fall into traps.. some ppl bring good discussions on to the table and its upto us to find out the credibility of those and carry out further studies for investment decisions...

we all rely on what we belief, but it doesn't mean u gotta rely on some one else's belief..

You are probably looking at the 9 month figure. There they appear to have done well , but please do deduct the dramatic reduction in finance cost and you have a growth of 14 million, which probably something many of the retailers on that stretch of the galle road easily managed. Remember, they probably paid off the loans with IPO funds. Other companies paid off loans with cash generated.

When you look at the last quarter. You see that EPS has grown by 1 cent.

my reputation is going down just like on Monday PCH share price. but i'm commenting about what i believe. Razz

i'm not saying he is 100% correct. but people had to learn from GREG, even now from PCH. people never learn. it is sad!

yeap i don't like rules either thats why i don't like even work in a office .i don't even like the office culture . but in sri lanka WE BADLY NEED RULES . WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF PEOPLE ARE NOT WILLING TO LEARN AND DO THE NAUGHTY THINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
just look our local roads where people crossing the road as they own it. i don't like to fight with these kind of people . only way to stop these kind of things are by a strong legal system .
pardon me for exaggerating on these topic but i truly see a real future in sri lanka and want to see good educated law abiding citizens like in singapore .

The fact that PCH was caught in the band is clear indication that even the SEC knew that this was being manipulated. Lets hoped that they will take stern action this time.

Yes, there is. Several high profile businessmen have been charged with it. However I don't think any of them were convicted. They all compounded the offence. Which is another way of saying you can pay your fine without admitting that you are guilty!

Seems quarterly EPS is stagnating. I do not wonder even if this share rocketed Monday. As this is the CSE (Casino Stock Exchange).

i dont think MW manipulated ... seems he is a honest guy (o rather over confidence) guy with the analysis he did. as far as my memory he didnt give barriers for pch at first (if he did those were not much higher like 100 but up to ECL level max) . few ppl did da manipulation.

my issue is will this affect the market sentiment specially when the market is driven by retailers these days ??

cse.lk is a bullshit site. they should have implemented a decent UI to see those company updates....

If panic sellers starts sellin PCH on MOnday i think one stock is enough to bring down da whole market which was performin xtremely well in last couple of days....people will go aftr 1 another....
bt i wonder if smthn lk no buyers happened on da day PCH price band imposed , market will keep its momentum as it is...

You gave the proper way for what gaja wanted.
What I explained was a short cut avoiding CSE traker page.
When you open a page with CSE tracker (moving line with share prices) the computer memory get overloaded and the page loading become very slow.
This started when they reprogrammed cse page few months ago. Now CSE site is not only very slow but eating our RAM.

It seems many people are ejaculating their burning pressure against PCH. some have become jubilant as their prediction have worked. Yes PCH is highly manipulated especially by day trading activities.
But mind you there are many shares at CSE trading at PE ratio of over 50, and some loss making companies trading at very high prices.
TFC share issue has oversubscribed despite heavy losses and very negative assets. when compare with those foolish picks PCH is lesser foolish choice in my opinion tongue

Lol, and people are in denial.

the high PE companies are either black holes like DPL or premium companies like JKH.

TFC is TFC, the gov will never let it fall. Plus there are more than a few corporations waiting to jump in and take control of it, LOLC being one. That's why it can sustain it's price.

Let's face it unless some brokerage starts sending lambs to the slaughter PCH will bleed for the next 4 months. And with a credit crunch in the foreseeable it won't be pretty. Maybe, PCH can start their own radio show like GREG.
