Accordingly, 28.6 million shares of Entrust Securities was acquired at Rs. 20.50 a share and 19 million shares of Multifinance were acquired at Rs. 16.60 a share by Enterprise Holdings.
Entrust Holdings has also acquired Serendib finance company and will also bring Entrust Wealth Management company under its umbrella as well.
Multifinance belonged to Chanuka Ratwatte's Entrust group and the Sriram group of companies which earlier belonged to the failed Ceylinco group also belonged to Multifinance.
The present management of Multifinance had apparently got rid of the previous management as a result of alleged financial improprieties.
