Just a guess. I felt that if they merge then it would be a better financial institution. VFIN is a well manged strong finance company and having a banking license could do wonders for them.

Reason for the thought: The second largest share holder of PABC is Bansei Securities. The CEO of Bansei Mr. Toyohiko was recently joined the director board of VFIN. He is also a director in PABC.

This is only a guess.

vere good idea if pabc joing with vfin pabc will be a one of best bank in srilanka

dont think so... no merger but PABC can acquire VFIN.

CBSL indicated apple to apple mergers. ie. Bank to Bank. so its very remote bank merging with a finance company.
