LDEV last quarter EPS is Rs 2.20

NAV is Rs 11.07

This is trading at 7/=

LDEV is a investment holding company.
their main income resources are Agarapatha plantations and Waverly power Ltd.
Income of the Agarapatha seriously affected by wage hike.
They also have shares in DFCC, MARA, BERU, RHL , KOTA , GLAS , CALF.

A company s performance cant be measured by NAV alone.
They have interest bearing loans of 641 Mn.
Debt to Equity Ratio is = 0.83
its bit high.

Read section 32 of page 58 of annual report 2013/14 going concern part.
" company s liabilities exceeds the assets of the company"
" planning to get another 500Mn loan etc....."

This is why this share is not moving. heavy liabilities + poor performance.

Anyway buying stocks is a personnel decision. This is my personnel view only.

Agree with you. But LDEV may perform well due to following.

1) The company has commissioned first hydro power plant in June 2013 and in the process of securing 2 more mini hydro power plants. The future prospects are good.
2) The company ended 2013/14 with a profit against a loss previous year.
3) The Director board is determined to reduce the operational cost and increase profitability.
4) Backed by Lankem Group
5) Only 13 million shares in the market excluding top 20

This is my personal view only. Have to wait for the quarterly results to see.

OK LDEV had a quick run. Earning should be good. Remember that CFLB which belongs to the group should run if LDEV results are supposed to be good.

LDEV is like a Blue Diamond. Today some one collected alone. I didn't see Day trading with this shares. It's understand the price going up until 14/= Rs. That is previous high price. Any how this is good for medium term.

At this stage people search for stocks thts not moved yet.
near future people will talk about AAF, COCO , EXPO , RICH , ORIN .
better to watch the movement for few days.
"will i miss the bus ? " psychology is very dangerous in investing.
Recently similar thing happened to few stocks.
went like a rocket in two days and tht was it.
We dont know it is pump and dump for sure.

Business is taking risks. we can only do is speculate.
when some make money, some will loose it.
Thts the theory.
