Dear Members World Wide Celebrities and common laymen and laywomen are taking #IceBucketChallenge donating US $10 to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association of America.

But we as members of Sri Lanka Equity I have an Idea; I challenge all the 11,000 plus Members of Sri Lanka Equity to take #IceBucketChallenge within this month until September 21st and come join the Sri Lanka Equity Fund by contributing US $10 or Rs.1,000 for the Fund and We will issue 10 shares for each member who join the fund and we could then form a Fund title 'Sri Lanka Equity Fund' to invest wisely in Colombo Stock Exchange!

Ice Bucket Challenge! What It Is~!

The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on one's head or donating to the ALS Association in the United States. It went viral throughout social media during the Northern Hemisphere summer of 2014.

The challenge dares nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads. A common stipulation is that nominated people have 24 hours to comply or forfeit by way of a charitable financial donation.

Rules
Within 24 hours of being challenged, participants are to video record themselves in continuous footage. First, they are to announce their acceptance of the challenge followed by pouring ice into a bucket of water. The bucket is then to be lifted overhead and poured over the participant's head. Then the participant can call out a challenge to other people.

In one version of the challenge, the participant is expected to donate $10 if they have poured the ice water over their head and donate $100 if they have not. In another version, dumping the ice water over the participant's head is done in lieu of any donation, which has led to some criticisms of the challenge being a form of slacktivism.

In #IceBucketChellenge for Sri Lanka Equity Fund

You guys can take the challenge and without a video join the fund by contributing SU $10 or Rs.1,000 and own the shares and invest together as a fund in Colombo Stock Exchange. When Our Fund grows we may be better than Namal or Ceylon Guardian Funds coz we have 11,000 analysts giving us insights on trading day by day.

If All 11,000 Members contribute we can launch a fund worth Rs.14.3 million or higher if members contribute more.

We will launch the fund along with Sri Lanka Equity Get Together! on September End!

Please members share your all thoughts. We can form a company and do our own research and our members can own shares of the fund and learn stock market better apart from trading on your own.

Defa good idea. Each member should be charged US $10 and the proceeds of US $ 110,000 should be handed over to the powerful GMNet.
She will use the ARIMA model to invest the monies, defa she will make powerful returns.

I thought it is a joke.

Before you invest money in any fund (even 1,300/-) one has to understand

a. Assset classes that the fund will invest in (equity/ bond/ money market) and the proportion
b. Who will manage the fund and their expertise to manage such fund including past records
c. Any transaction costs/ fees for managing/ joining exiting
d. nature of the fund (close ended open ended) when can i exit

and many more. Without knowing or discussing any of these, I am wondering how could one say I'm in!

this is why I have called upon a meeting for members who are interested beofre preparing the articles of the company and the fund management process and the asset classes we are going to invest.

This is a Challenge - IceBucketChallenge for members to begin. We didn't come to conclusions yet.So Members can invest US $ 10 or Rs.1300/- after setting up not now.

Don't jump in to conclusions before starting.
