Successfully investing in the stock market is a complex task. One way we can simplify the process is to follow a strategy called sector rotation. Sector rotation is the idea that we want to invest in areas of the economy that are expected to outperform based on the business cycle. Today’s Red stocks will become tomorrow’s dark green stocks. Today’s green stock may become tomorrow’s red stocks according to the business cycle and industry cycle. For the intermediate term, economic factors such as interest rates and inflation etc dictate the direction of stock prices. In the long run stocks prices depend on the earnings and growth expectations. Good luck!

Thank you Sarabulathwiata/ Shark.

It is better to list down some red stocks in the each sector. Then we can follow and study

My sectors under radar are:

Banking and Finance-
Power and energy
Plantations
Diversify
Food and beverages
Production

We will see some of the great winners from the above sectors. Actually some stocks are coming out of their base now. Then there are another set of stocks. Until accumulating is over we cannot expect rally for them in the short run. Some have gone to third stage and still have some legs. Some stocks including some market leaders such as CHMX, JKH, MASK, WATA, RCL, LWL, SAMP, and COMB were active today. Some momentum stocks also were active. There may be some hidden gems as well. If we can find out one hidden gem with great prospect then it is more than enough to cover losses we made in the past. I think UDPL in the plantation sector is a hidden gem. Do you think so? When bull starts even negative factors will ignore. For example there were lot of crises in Greece and Spain, unemployment in Europe, banking crisis in USA and Europe, Property crisis, political crisis in Middle East especially in Iran and Iraq at that time, gold and rupee crisis in India etc. Didn’t’ their stocks markets go up? There were bull markets everywhere. Even Pakistan had good one despite their political crisis time to time. Good luck

I think this is the time to go behind next winning stocks and sectors. We may have lucrative opportunities in sectors trading below the P/E ratio of 8 and companies which are going to have favourable industry environment in the coming months and coming quarters. Share prices of turnaround companies also will go up. It is also time to identify emerging stocks in addition to stocks which are having their major uptrend intact. Good luck!
