now the tune is different after the election. electricity   25% cut is not for industries .everybody got fooled and bought manufacturing sector shares .no exception for me . I also bought shares glas ,sira etc. i never thought  I was swallowing a deliberate lie. though i know many sri lankn politicians are liars ,I never expected a such a obvious lie from such a high place.
some voters in uva got fooled and voted to thank the miracle that reduced the electricity bill.
after the election I realized we were fooled again.

I think they are looking for ways to give this benefit to the industrial sectors as well..... they might come up with a solution..... This is the problem with our politicos .......Ministers says we cant reduce but MaRa fools everyone and announces reduction surprising everyone.
I am pretty sure some ministers are fed up with this politics

I think they will give 25% discount for Industrial also. maybe in budget and its give from January.

If not? then they will increase E-Bil after elections maybe May.

I think most of you also has political analysis rather than professional investor analysis.

It is true that MR has reduced tariff rate when it was politically advantage to him. As a politician he must do it. Here, reality factor he might have done this much earlier. But, due to constant economic factor specially inflation he choose political time for the reduction instead of theoretical time. This is pure politics and he is well safe doing this.

Consider how it affects actually. No fuel surcharge at all. I feel it is good structure, but same time feel they can reduce more in theoretical consent.



Considering electricity generation factors, sometimes Coal power plants generate nearly 50% and with onset of inter monsoon rain 56% of hydro generation capability is already intact. Specially we have to notice that raining season just started. So, Industrial sector they will definitely reduce the tariffs as well (already promised to do and theoretically they can keep it) .
