Day by day oil prices coming down today Crude oil low is USD 88.16 Brent oil low is 91.55 would you believe this ??? This great advantage LIOC !!!!!

Dont forget gov will do anything to win the presi election. My gutt feelin is that they will reduce petrol another five and diesel five. It seems isis is not going to give up ,this will have an impact on oil suppy in near future so it will gradually go up. december quater results will be pretty intresting.

I read an article where ISIS is too selling in black market at a discount through Turkey, Iran through other neighboring countries illegally. Another Interesting situation is Saudi recent announcement reducing Oil price to increase Market share. Thirdly USA is too supplying and most likely to be Top supplier to pass Saudi and Russia in coming years.
So Oil price s are expected to dip further with USA pumping more oil barrels per day Very Happy

with risk of oversupply.

I heard Champika on Sirasa clamouring to get the price mechanism introduced on Petrol and Diesel. Whilst the Petroleum Minister defend the current price structure as its profitable due to low oil prices.

This is the right time in my opinion to reduce GoSl subsidies on kerosine and diesel.... and reduce the government burden ......

This government seem to benefit from the lower oil price and not willing to pass it to consumers... probably they are greedy and corrupt

Dear Windi Global oil price reduction is a reality and as you told govt planning to reduce oil price is prediction.
That might be also reality but not sure, even it happen it will not affect LIOC's high EPS (Rs 9/-) due to drastically redused global oil prices. So not only December quarter whole 2014/15 financial results are interesting isn't it?

Yes, but do your own due diligence on LIOC such as global oil price current level, oil future prices, current CSE trend. One more thing if LIOC earn good profits repeatedly in coming quarters, they will declare huge dividend for their share holders like LLUB. IF you planning for mid term to long term current levels are attractive. may be you will not see these levels in future if the things happen positively.

And if the researches before election shows sure winning , then there wont be any changes to oil price. if the research is not positive then oil will fall just for two weeks ...electricity cost ...reminds

Crude oil is crashing down towards 80 dollars per barrel. Because USA has become an oil exporter and new oil fields have been found from Denmark to Greece and Russian Arctic region. So another price reduction is possible before election and may not impact profitability of LIOC.
