Common Candidate

Sri Lanka main opposition UNP’s elections Committee chooses Maithripala Sirisena as common candidate

Sri Lanka's main opposition United National Party’s newly appointed Group 20 or G 20 elections committee has chosen Maithripala Sirisena as their presidential candidate, media reports said.
However the working committee of the United National Party is yet to approve the decision, UNP parliamentarian and G20 member Akila Viraj Kariyswasam told LBO.

The working committee meeting of the United National Party is scheduled to be held at 4.00 p.m, today.

It is also reported that Minister Maithripala Sirisena is to hold a special press conference today.

More splits among UNP members erupt if Mr. Sirisena is chosen as common candidate for presidency. If this happens, no one can predict the market direction from next week, as political turmoil in the country would emerge.

this is very tricky.
what will be the hidden agenda ? may be there plan to "Widayaka Janadipathi Kramaya Ahosi Kara, Agamathita balaya pawarima wenna puluwan" Then if maithri became president, & if they do this plan, then Ranil will be the Pri-minister.

Do not forget, War is ended by MR....becasue of decision taking ability with Gota + Fonseka......

yes WAr in ended by MR but its enough time to respect him but still they waste lot of money to defence without any rounds come out from the Gun barrel.

any how we need some changes we don't need same GOVT for another time. this time it will happen
