Why do you think that foreigners are collecting while we sell. They know something which we don't know.

We will start buying from them when ASPI goes to 8500 points paying 30% to 40% more than the current price.

I think this is the best time to collect in anticipation of regime change and a UNP backed government.

Now analyze the options. I don't think the rebel group will defeat the budget. If that happens all the MP positions will be null & void. They will loose all the benefits as MPs of Parliament as the parliament has to be dissolved on the same day by the president. There for part will cross over for sure on 24/11/2014 & budget will be passed.
Please note without a budget being approved by the Parliament the government will not exist.

So there will be some twists on Monday. How will that affect the market.

The effect will be on tuesday.I think market will react based on what UNP would say. Hopefully they will give some positive sentiment with in next two days.

Good point to discuss without arguing. What I think government will win the budget voting and coalition group will not defeat at this moment since the country will get in sever political unrest.

So the requirement of the moment is keep the country calm and peace till the election. Probably most of the MP's would cross over the after the budget voting.

High emotions with widespread rumors place the public for speedy reaction. Creating a panic situation among investors is inevitable that witnessed on last friday. Foretelling such pattern of behaviour is far more difficult than to enlighten. Another day to go before the next trading day, with lot of fresh news that could be extremely aggravated the political arena. In fact, unrest nearing an election is a normal event which should not bring an impact on capital market. If worst scenario comes up, with pre-knowledge of market conditions, overseas investors are the first to move out securing their investment. In my view, even under present circumstances, there should be a normal trading pattern since there is no economic catastrophe being happened. Whatever we figure out, at the end of the day, investors behaviour is the final command. Let us see how they react on Monday. Good Luck,

people beleive MR wont just let go if the things are unfavourable to him . Some TV channel broadcasts are time to time interrupted.
These not healthy signs.
Who knows what type of actions will they take to remain in power ?
Whatever the result will be If there was a peaceful election , Market will rise again.
