JVP silently supports MS but never expressed it. They always tell public to defeat MR.

JVP has around 5% vote base. It's important that now they must effectively campaign for MS. Supporters of JVP might cancel their vote or give to any other candidate among 19 candidates to defeat MR.

It is still not clear whom does JVP ask to vote for. Soon they should make it clear before their valuable vote base becomes ineffective.

JVP is a decisive factor for MS campaign, though its vote base is comparatively lower than others. Astonishingly, JVP speeches made to public so far, had been admired by many as they talk sensitive subjects to the sharp point. Analysts view is that basic foundation for MS victory is mainly built up my JHU & JVP. At the commencement of election campaign, it is said that strong contribution from JVP & JHU sitting either side of MS is vital for gathering more votes. Practically it is not happening directly but indirectly in line with their own philosophy. JHU lost its strength as a result of U turns. With a minimal U turns, public attention would be focussed on them in the future but in slow pace.
