There was once this elite Lawyer gentleman (Not de Saram) and he had started his law practice from scratch after long hours and persistence. Setting up the business was not easy in those days and involved quite a talent and business acumen. Nevertheless, this Lawer was getting old and feeble and decided to hand over his Law Firm (now big money) to his only son who was also a good lawyer and had passed out in Law at Cambridge UK. The father told his son that he should carefully manage the business and there were some 125 pending court cases that the father was handling and that it involved going to courts almost every day and fighting it out. The money was also flowing in and the son’s future had bright prospects. So with a whole heap of qualifications he took over his fathers business. He told his father that with his qualifications that he would do a better job of it. So finally the son took over and began his practice.

After some time, this young man’s father visited the Law Firm and met his son. He inquired from his son how business was and whether he was finding it difficult. The son responded by stating that this law firm had being in existence for over 30 years and the father had pussy footed with the cases and none had been solved despite 30 years going by. The son happily told the father that the first thing he did was to give prompt attention to those pending cases and not take any more cases until they were resolved. He went on to explain that what his father took 30 years to do he had done in just 6 months. All the cases were won.

The father just covered his face in his hands and cried. The son inquired why he was crying. The father told his son this: “Son you have ruined the business I started out with a lot of pain and effort for 30 long years”.

Is it possible that the lawers landing the case have connived with both parties to drag the case so that all parties are happy?. i.e. Investors, Directors, SEC, Manipulators.

May be the lawyers & the judge are also investors in the stock market. They keep having a hearing when ever they run short of cash.
