Jan 15, Colombo: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulating his Sri Lankan counterpart, Ranil Wickremasinghe says the new Prime Minister's experience will be invaluable in guiding the destiny of Sri Lanka.
"The rich experience you will bring to bear in discharging the responsibilities of this august office will be invaluable in guiding the destiny of Sri Lanka at this crucial juncture," Modi wrote in a letter to Wickremasinghe, which was made public today.
Recalling the efforts made by Wickremasinghe during his two previous tenures as PM to strengthen the relations with India, Indian PM said he believes the future work with Sri Lankan PM will bring the two countries even closer.
