Why Government is not increasing the interest rates?
Years of hard work can be undone in just one decision.

Technically this should bounce back with considerable volume at 7330. but it looks like fall is sharp with this uncertainty. next strong support is 100 SMA which is 7250. ASI should bounce back at 7250.

anyway, what can i say.. nice show today.

hunt the beer!!

8. So many stocks are over heated.

So better keep to watch and keep away few weeks or days
thats the reason I empty half of my PF .
doesn't matter if I missed the Profit but I don't want loss which is I made last few months.

Note: I am not saying this to panic you guys because I sold 50%. This is my view. but Damn Sure market will go up after 3 to 6 month period (if every think clear) so no worries
but my concern is why we need to keep in high ,.. if I can buy in low then sell and wait to collectin low

any how I will do some day or week trading with some stocks which is new come stocks , rights , after rights , additional...

I post this jan 14Th
http://forum.srilankaequity.com/t40562-market-status-with-political-instability#251516

I am in comfort level now because I sold lots on 9th of Jan.
Now waiting to buy

Anyhow tomorrow morning if the market is down then buy some of good stock for day trading it will pick up closing time

today mostly panic and manipulate to down the market  just 859 Mn turn over

So who had in credit they sold now if you buy tomorrow  if the market is down then sell it closing time ....  don't keep it sell it

Because market will possible to go up when they show  majority in parliament tomorrow

tomorrow closing time market will pick up if they show majority in parliament tomorrow

Downward trend will continue this week.
The major players are still not involved. Wait till the companies the culprits own are targeted.

That will be the time to really get out.
AEL is an example.

My observation is that in the short term the market will run dry with black money pulled out and manipulators staying away to avoid the current heat. Secondly the lack of activity will create a situation where people will take a sit and wait attitude. With the new government needing time to settle down people will wait to buy good stocks at rock bottom prices. The investigations into manipulated economic indices by the former authorities on strength of rupee, state of economy. reserve position will escalate the interest rates for at least one year. High interest rates will further reduce the turnover in the stock market till things settle down. At the end of the cycle shares with good fundamentals will survive and pick up with a boom in the economy. I don't know about others, but what I will do is sit and watch for at least 3 months and then pick up some good shares with a good eps at a return above bank rates.

Years of hard work can be undone in just one decision.

What are you talking about, money market is excess more than Rs.50Bn. Secondary market bond rates are falling. All the dealers are filled with money. If any one wants money can borrow @ 5.25 overnight. This is the lowest for fairly long time.

Currently money market is very strong. Will see what will happen in next week. Very Happy

This stock market is a game played by few.So don't worry It will recover soon.guaranteed.

You are quite correct.
However, Depends on who is borrowing the money and whether they have a Thriple A rating. I personally know that one cannot borrow money without that rating and that interest rate. If you can name a source please let me know and I will definitely make use of it.

I will lend it @ 12 percent!!!
Very Happy

Sudda man has  confidence  in stock market even today. he is buying , .our people panic and sell. today net foreign buying over 80 million.

anyway I see today drop was  intentionally done by some people.

I see some people in this forum are also connected to  those manipulators. (this is not about the member who genuinely commented about the negative side)
they started spreading baseless talk like dammika perera s exit from stock etc.
these coolie writers changed the forum election  poll result for stock manipulation. we lost good members like shark because of these dirty people.

I remember in banlgadesh this kind of forum manipulators were caught and sent to jail by regulators some times back.

When we talk about interest rates. The base is the 1 year T/Bill rate. All interest rate adjustments are worked out based on that. And also please note there are banks who are providing a 1 year FD rate below 1 year Repo rate.

What i meant on the above comment was the overnight Repo rate that is money market rate specially when borrowing from a PD or a Bank.

And also please note banks or registered finance institutions can't obtains FD's at any rate they want. There is a cap.IE the average 1 year T/Bill rate in the last Qtr by adding a certain cap on top of it. The recent revision has done based on that So these FD rates remain till 31/03/2015.

Senior citizens benefits are different.

SO i will leave with this note.

"Some may be able fool some or most. But they can't fool all."
