bandulawee wrote:After days of uncertainty in the market finally Harsha has asked Godahewa to step down. Every time Thilajk's name came up Market tumbled down but was stabilised with the news not been confirmed. Now the end game is near. Godahewa had agreed to step down at Harsha's insistence. With Thilak in no one can save the Market.
Harsha as an opposition MP had ben gunning for Godahewa and Company for a long time and was responsible at times for creating panic in the market. Last time when the Market was thriving it was Harsha and some newspapers who brought accusations against manipulators, stock market mafia and was eagerly awaiting the bubble to burst. I voted yahapalanaya and expected some sense to prevail.
The Government needs revenue to off set the cost of benefits to be passed down to the people.
Unfortunately by sacking Godahewa and bringing in Thilak Market is going to be doomed with loss of revenue to the state coffers.
