The socialist, wannabe robin hood budget and Finance Minister with a criminal hearing is responsible for this. Things have never been this messed up. It is like we have gone back in time to the war torn period.

Everything is done for revenge. People and companies are actually being punished for being successful. What these pandits fail to see that the UNP is still only a minority here and the real power (although divided) is with the SLFP. Now that the SLFP is realising all of this and acting on it as we saw clearly with the curtailing of State Defense Minister's powers.

Tick tock.. tick tock... the roulette wheel has started spinning yet again.

IF you cosider after 1948 most of Finance minister outstanding scholars and Brilliant people MDH,JR,SIDEY S, TBI, NM Felix Ronny

When present person was in charge of Trade he close down the CWE.Some officers of CWE and the ministry gave him a Dead rope. CWE financial position was very bad due to mismanagement of previous ministers Kingsly W and Regie R. But CWE could have been recovered by good management. But then mister taken the responsibility for all misdeeds foolishly.

One reason to defeat of UNP in 2004 was close down of CWE Because it was a very politically sensitive organization

Some proposals given in this budget also Dead ropes given by some officers of finance ministry

This budget is responsible for present trend. Only hope is people believe good governance under Ranil and Mythree. we can expect slow upward trend.

(Intelligent Finance ministers know how to balance election promises and Budget. Ronney never gave 8 pounds of grains)
