It should reach 8000 by this December if government does not dissolve the parliament. People are looking for a stable or a unable government but the continuation of the development. UNP Government!

Good to be back.

No govt manipulation under this govt

Market forces will decide the market

Preset biggest problem is foolish election Budget revision. I do not see any improvement in Economic management so far But
expectations of inverters
positive after 19 amenmends

I hope improvement after next budget May be after Nov

Stock market also will improve

Good to be back.

Even if parliament is going to dissolve or not market should pass 8000.  Because current major uptrend has not broken yet. When it passes 8000 first time market will become very bullish and it will run further. Every pullback in this market will create great opportunity. Outcome of parliament elections will be one of the following.

National government
A coalition government (there were this type of governments in India)
One or two party government

It is also surprise to see almost all the members in the parliament voted for 19A amendment. So there were some sort of agreement and consensus among political parties in Sri-Lanka. Now it is our duty to select efficient and productive politicians to the parliament this time. I found there are dynamic politicians including some new blood  in almost all political parties . If we can vote and bring stable government, market could break not only 9000 but also 10,000 during next 18 months.

We should see demand for new set of stocks in this month. We can clearly see accumulation of stocks.

Which hotels can bring more tourists in the future? Which hotels will have more market share? Which stocks have more value? What types of demand will come from hotels? Which sectors/companies will benefit indirectly most due to growth in hotels? When we pick stocks in hotels we can also apply cousin theory to pick stocks in other sectors. Lot of stocks especially in neglected stocks should build base before their next wave. There will be plenty of time to accumulate neglected quality stocks in the market before the mega run in the market. Good luck!

It could be termed Magical because I do not foresee anything over 7500 this year. Too much regulations will keep the risk takers who are mostly manipulators out o the market, and those are the one's who pushes the market up. Also remember hard earned money does not end up in the market and its only easy money that finds its way to the market. Unfortunate for the market but fortunate for the people easy money has dried out.
