ALUFAB is a share you need to keep for at least another 3 to 5 years or else 10 years to see how good management can create value to a asset rich (23+ NAV per Share) Company.

People invest and trade in Share market but very few understand the concept of value creation. BFL, REXP and ECL are examples for real value generated shares during last 8 years’ time horizon. (BFL from 9 to 600, REXP from 15 to 180 and ECL from 4 to 32 then subdivided by 7 now at 14.5)  To be a real Value creator the company should be too small with a low Market capitalization for it to grow with our ownership.

So it is your ability to identify and allocate the ownership of a company which will increase their operations with top and bottom line. ALUFAB has all the qualifications to be next value company provided HLYS will not divest the holding rather they will get the synergy with Alumex.

I am holding ALUFAB at 29 which i do not sell in short term. Prices will go up and down with overall upward trend.
I may go wrong and ALUFAB will be DP's first loss making investment so risk is yours.

ALUFAB has very little No. of shares so 12m Net profit per Quarter will have a EPS of 4 per year but DP will not acquire  Companies get 40m profit per year. He is the real Investment GURU in Sri lanka. SO believe in this share but I do not expect profits this Quarter rather a healthy top line growth with high Admin and Marketing expenses may be few additional expenses on new projects and factory improvements. If they have profits that will be just a Bonus.

Arena,

Very good analysis. If you take all DP companies begining is like this.

PABC - From Rs9.0 levels to Rs25 now

LFIN - From Rs20 levels to Rs182 now even after couple of bonus issues and hefty dividends.

CONN -  From Rs4.0 levels to Rs 75 levels with good dividends.

All the tile companies.

SERV- Now doing really well.

ALUF will be like PARQ/CFVF/REG for future. This is a very good investment for the future for sure.
