Everbody should follow their own trading style. Market needs different style investors. Long term, short term, medium term and swing trader. I always said this.

They do not need to listen to anyone unless they think for themselves and do their analysis. They are free to buy or sell or leave market or invest in bond, FDs, TB or Forex ( if they can) depending on their goals..

CSE is now slowly getting into a bull run . I am not comfortable with the recent pattern either.  It can go down for profit taking or force selling. I do not have info on that.

I already said that "this is  time to invest and the time identify correct stocks. " To make money some can think short term or some can think long term ( like the FD example I gave if you are holding string fundamental share only ) or some can swing trade. It upto the individual.

But I can say at some point market will hit 8000 ( not at once but in steps). When I can't tell right now as there lot of uncertainties. ( it may not be this year even if bad news follows after bad news which is beyond out control) . So short term people can take precausions to protect your capital if you hold weak shares that can crash more if/when market falls. More than ASI , concentrate on individual shares and their strength. Some shares so far have been holding very strong. ( but there can be break point) . I saw one share beating the market even ( going up) .

Thank you for the information. Yes If we want to see liquidity in the market we need all types of market players.

There are some shares still trading at low prices that have not made any significant move after ASI going from 6300 to 7250 .
Some did not move due to various issues and earnings/losses. Some moved but have come down in price due to reasons.
But still there are others ..... !!!!

What are they and why am I bringing this up now after coming back to the SLEF forum after being absent for manny months . Guess :)
From the below list I do have a few shares ( not big amounts) of a few counters but that is not the point.

So let me give a start

CFLB/CIT/CFI/KOTA /LCEY : The famous "right emperors " . Big group majorly battered down due to reconstructing , management issues , plantation issue
and bad earnings.
CFLB Rs 28 , CFI Rs 110 , CIT Rs 150 now , KOTA at Rs 30. LCEY Rs 114
Out of them all CIT/CFI is undervalued.

MBSL : Once a share of Rs 60 went down to Rs 13. Bad management and other issues killed it. Now at around Rs 19. Still under NAV.
But earnings have to be justified.

ABAN : Once ran to Rs 165. Then bonus issue came. Earnings took a drop. Then price fell to Rs 100.
Now trading at PE about 7. Illiquid and probably no one to push and until such time boring

FLCH/BIL/BRWN : Right issues, bad earnings, plantation hit etc. BIL has so far never really shown a real profit!! BRWN earnings almost the same.

ALLI : Some managerial decisions , impairment issues have stalled this big boy. This quarter should be good but need to look at their
core business improvements ( not other earnings) . Still trading below NAV .

CIND : well it may not exactly belong here as it went from Rs 60 to Rs 95 but due to a previous earning hit and illquidity this share was very boring.
Still Rs 85. Still trades well below NAV .
On my guess on forward PE ( I could be wring( it maybe trading around PE of 6 to 7 :)

There is another share still trading low which should declare a dividend end of February :D Will leave you to figure.

Let me stop and leave other to contribute.

Guruji, I haven't changed my opinion. And I would not change my thinking whether I am at SLEF or elsewhere. I think its best that we respect the forum rules as this has a larger audience and I am only just another expert here. But I will answer your questions when ever I get a chance to do so.

Market can test 7150 next if bounce back does happen soon.
Next it is important to saty above 7000.

In any case forget ASI RED. IF market falls, and strong shares fall, you know what to do as mid term investor? Think of it as an opportunity :) If you are trader , you can rid your weak shares.

With parliament dissolution pending , there is a possibility those who want to panic can panic themselves and even worse panic others.

1) Some like to jump to the well dragging other too ( not only themselves).
2) Have you heard the tale of how the Queen Yonaka of King Parakramabahu, tried to cause chaos by inducing others in Kings Harem to jump from a rock to commit suicide .

All this time Yonaka was scheming to make her son the king ( getting rid of others) . This is a tale by theway ( not sure of historical facts. A movie was made on this also)

All the best. Keep your cool in the market.
