I wish that JKH will move upto 205 before the split.

Then JKH warrants give a good profit within few days!

JKH spilt won't have any affect on the share price, that's why forigners are exiting this share cause they expect price drop after the split. That's what I believe. I entered into JKH around 192 level but kept bit more cash in hand if it falls down to 180-185 levels to buy more.

Am I correct Mr. VALUEPICK?
Lately I didn’t do any study on the oil sector. If   you like LIOC, try to do some home work and follow it closely then you should be able to find out whether it is going to be another golden egg.

Good luck!

I agree with you. I can remember I was following a food and beverage company in 2007/2009. Among top shareholders, there was one reputed large global foreign company and had around 10% of total shares. They sold entire shareholding to local smart investor (Private institution). It was trading below Rs.15/- then. They made a bigger mistake.Later during previous bull market it appreciated above Rs.300. It became 20 baggar. On top of that they were more exposure to food and beverage industry. What went wrong with them? Lesson to learn: Companies having great earning potential should outperform market in the long run. We should not pay attention to who is selling and buying.

We should pay attention to future earnings. Today’s loss making companies will become profit making companies in the future. If we can find and keep at least one five baggar or 10 baggar company (golden egg) in our carefully selected egg basket then we can cover not only losses we made in the past but also can get above average capital gain.

You are spot on in your reply VP.

Agree with you 100% that a 10 year historical performance will enhance your confidence that it is worth investing in the company with a good earning potential.

If the company is relatively new, then the historical performances as well as the following are very important: Market share, Revenue Growth, Profit Growth, ROIC, plus Brand Development and R&D investment.

That's where I put my greater part of my monies in!!!!

Thank you for your ideas. I am learning some new things from your writings. They are very useful. In every sector some companies could have bigger market, revenue growth, and profit growth in the coming years. I also agree about paying attention to the strong return on invested capital as it is more sustainable. When a company's ROIC is already high, growth typically generates additional value. Those companies having Brand development and R& D Development are progressing well in the international market.

We find brand development and R & Development in sectors such as FMCG and Food and beverages including hot beverages (Particularly healthy high quality Tea in Sri-Lanka) etc. As a consumer, we should be careful of selecting brands. For example global consumers are learning more about healthy beverages such as Tea now as there are so many varieties of tea and brands. So they will go for some high quality tea brands in Sri-Lanka in the coming years. These high quality tea brands will fetch some of the top tea prices in the future due to demand from healthy consumers globally.

It is also time to identify these types of companies in the CSE.

VP,

There are a few companies that pay out almost 100 percent of profits through dividends. This may be good for the short term trader. However, in the long run the shareholder as well as the company will fail to realise the optimum benefits or income. Why you may ask?

Well, what in the wild wide world would the dividend income he has earned. Invest in banks or start a business? If a company is doing well and it's gearing is in shipshape the monies should be reinvested in expansion through capacity increase, new products categories, diversification. Diversification should be into CORE areas of expertise and not into non-value adding operations that could be easily outsourced.

The company will make more money for the shareholder than what reinvestment of his dividends earned can do!!

Very Happy Very Happy

Thank you again for your ideas. We can learn lot of things from you. I can make use of those ideas to pick winning stocks, to minimize losses and to reduce risks etc. There are companies they declare less dividend and make use excess money to expand their businesses wisely. So they create long term value for investors. There are companies that they can’t identify correct opportunities and they are trying to diversify business that they cannot understand very well. So they fail in their diversification.

 Good luck!

This is not REEF,GREG,CLPL but remember the biggest company with a good fame, so they will try to give a better thing to warrants.

I think JKH N will reach over 205, then warrant 22 is out of risk!

If you buy 7 shares it will be 8, after splitting, wait and see what will happen tomorrow. I think some one selling warrant 22 at the moment, if you are new, dont buy warrants.

200 mutified by 7 and devided by 8 is the answer for it.

Big companies can fall more than small companies because they could be subject to many internal and external factors. Good luck JKH investors. I will buy JKH at Rs 150/=
