If there is a tea rally, keep an eye on HVA as well. they export tea and value added tea, they have won three national awards for 2014 as well. the HVA share price is at low levels now.
easily 10 - 11 levels reachable. I have kept a good eye on this share and gained so much from this.
recommend this share for short to mid term trades. very good buy price range 8.20 to 8.50.
if it passes 9.20 the a rally would start.

HVA enjoys a strong niche market in the tea sector and Company turnaround is on the cards.

There will be light at the end of the tunnel for tea stocks. They will never stay low for a long period. Tea prices can have volatility but it cannot stay below the cost level for a long period.

There are good positive factors for the tea industry.Improved and most wanted foreign currency will give benefit to the country and industry. Relaxation of Iranian sanctions will improve tea exports. Promotions done by tea board will yield results through non traditional markets.

both tea and rubber plantations are leading the way in 52 week low list.except for WATA and TPL others are not doing well and gives dividends. The glory days wont come again where KGAL traded 250 and NAMU,KVAL were flying. With negative eps theres hardly a dividend.

WATA TPL ELPL will do well, look at there eps nav P/E ratio levels. I expect these shares to make a big run within a yr. look at Elpl eps level during worst tym fr plantation is around 4. I expect this to increase to 6-8 levels if tea industry rebounds cause 75% of its revenue generated from tea plantation.

That is the most worrying factor in the industry and it is highly connected to politics.Employers are in the view of productivity should be link to the work output.if so then good for the industry

their demands are backed by politicians like digambaram  who can make political changes. So demands can't be ignored.

I believe sometimes there may be splits in plantations stocks such as NAMU, KGAL and MPRH. In the past we saw hardly any liquidity in stocks such as WATA and SUN before their splits. I also  believe just like Kenyan auction tea prices we should see improved auction prices for Indian and Sri-Lankan tea as well. As I said before tea prices cannot stay below the cost of production for a long period.  If that happen, remaining tea producers also will stop their tea business and there will be severe shortage in tea globally.
