How MR could become PM?

How many seats he has to secure in the elections for him to become PM?

For all others it is 113.

But does 113 is enough for MR?

All other parties contesting elections will not support him. So he has to secure 113 within UPFA.

But all UPFA MPs will not support him. There will be at least 20 MPs in UPFA who will directly oppose MR as PM. More will abandon him after results.

MR's magical number is not 113, but 133.

So he should steer UPFA to secure at least 133 seats. A daunting and impossible task under present situation.

Exactly. Just after tomowrow my3 and his team has the power. This is just a bubble to be bust.

Technically Mahinda has been rejeted by majority. For another 5 years he can not rule the country.
Y these people work like babies.

With all the super power behind with MR on 8 Jan 2015 he lost.

The most simplest thing is with out anything, after 4 months of losing he even can't think of wining this time.

This truth is well known by he himself and his camp. But they just wanted to check their luck?

If he gets a seat as an  MP, he will lose his ex-president power (executive) where he can be jailed for his crimes.

As Ex-President he does not have any immunity even now.

Once MACO issued the gazette notification declaring elected MPs from Kurunegala District, his privileges as EX-President will become uncertain. Most legal experts are of the view that he is entitle privileges as an MP only. There are previous judgments given to this effect, though not involving MPs/Prime Ministers/Presidents. But they also considered as Government servants when it come to privileges.

MR could have been respected by all the people, if he was remained as retired president. Since he entered to contest now he became a joker & loss his respect too. Sad Sad Sad

what an unfortunate person ranil is, what he tried was always easy way out, from war he won by giving piece of country to ltte, jvp was killed by him in 88, he put this fool sira, fonsi for his rescue in 2014 and 2010 and now he wanted divided slfp for him to be triumphant but failed

Voters already realized that and we do not need to do cheap marketing like what MR has done with duplicate sirisena at the time casting his vote in the PRS Election.

When are we going to see single party in Sri-Lanka?

This time my friend, you will definitely see it this time.

Even with same result for MR as previous election, which was
5,768,090 MR leading UPFA can win majority seats in the parliament.

MY3s 6,217,162 is divided between UNP, JVP, TNA, SF etc
So they don't get the benefit of wining the bonus seat as well.

People in this country still love MR as he was the only president who wanted to defeat terrorism and brought peace to this nation.

Moreover they did not prove any allegations against him. More importantly the allegation about military take over. If it was true they would have prove it by now, they could not prove it as it was just a pure myth which they use to take away the credibility from MR when he peacefully and democratically step down from power. He proved that he was not a dictator and UNP was at shock to see this. People in this country are not fools to believe in every lie they say.

Main problem normal people had with MR government was not corruptions, it was just that they did not care about middle to poor class people that much, namely Basil was mostly responsible for that.

This time they have address that issue. When it comes to political promises MR has the upper hand compared to RW. Been a war hero in middle to poor class peoples mind, they would rather take MRs promises than RWs promises.

We will all see this result by 18th.
This is what Gammanpilla
forecast. He is a Software Engineer from Monash university Aus, a Lawyer and has 1988 A/L all Island best result in commerce. So he is someone who's word has some credibility.
Thank you for answering my question. I already have some idea about policies of JVP, SLFP and UNP. My investment decisions are based on lot of factors including government policies.

If we want to become successful in the stock market we have to have some idea about country politics as well. Because, when policy makers take decisions on vital economic sectors, companies in those sectors either will benefit or will affect negatively. We should analyse at least 30 years of political history. During this period there had been bull markets as well as bear markets.

Finally, it is time to study sectors which are going to outperform markets after election and after forming a government. Market uptrend is strong now.

As both main parties have joined with small parties it should be more than two party governments. Times to time these two parties have ruled the country. Therefore one will be winner. I have a rough estimation. Sometimes JVP can win next election if they can attract masses.

I don’t think anybody will humiliate you. Everybody should have right to choose party they like in a democratic country. These are not permanent things. Again friends and relatives are working for different parties. Same family members are representing two main parties. All politicians are also not same. Some are voting for the person not for the party. Sad to see average people are getting divided due to this political drama.

Despite having so many political systems in the world still they cannot provide 100
% employment, eradicate poverty and eradicate violence etc. World need perfect political system and financial system to solve the problems.
