World sugar prices are at 30-year highs, but SUGA has major output and productivity problems - the October to March period is also 'off season' for SUGA, and they usually do not make much money during this period. Sugar prices are also very volatile, and global crop can be increased quickly.

Potential positives are Pelwatte Dairy IPO, which has been talked of for a long time, together with investments in tourism and power. Takeover speculation talk has also emerged in the past, and illiquid share can be easily manipulated.
