Much debated subject is why our indexes have been declining in past few weeks. As a result low turnover has been recorded substantially lower than the average. On top of the list being argued is FED possible rate hike that directly or indirectly strike our market. It is the fear that such a rate hike causes investors pull out from markets that leads to diminishing market sentiment.

So what happens in the future if “yes” for rate hike? Do all markets particularly in developing countries plummet continuously? Answer is no. Normalcy shall be return with a passage of time as the hike will not quantitatively be higher being awaited. Higher rates produce adverse effects too for any country.

Despite the CSE efforts being taken educating locals many continue to sell off their portfolio even at a loss. Hopefully, operational performance of listed companies will be outstanding in next quarter that leads to appreciate the share value in many sectors. Many economic & monetary reforms are on the way much awaited for that surely drive capital market. So, think twice before get rid of your valuable shares which accumulate future profits.

Rate hike will happen within 6 months, they can't hold these kind of low rates much longer. So much foreign holding in govt securities ar leaving. They need to jack up the rates to absorb more money into the system.
If strong number of FDI comes in to the country then we can expect same rate level fr some time
