There are 3 purposes in auditing. In simply, identifying a fraud or faults. Make sure the accounting standars follwing or not etc...
Auditors are giving a report with their opinion.
Actually SFL no need to do it purposely. SFL ,is a good company with a great history. Thats the reason they have received billions of customer deposit too. That may be the reason mr.Gamage touched it by paying 27.50 per share too.
Sfl is a dividend paying company too. Their land sales business is doing well at the moment. Newly launched.micro finance business will be the key success of SFL.
So no need to panic ....BUY SFL at current.levels. ....GL

Yes. There are clear evidence of planned manipulation or carelessness of responsible people affecting the minds of innocent investors.

First they announced very wrong high earnings for the year. They they corrected it in the audited report. Error was massive.

The auditors say,
the company has considered performing contracts ... amounting to Rs. 314 Million
...However based on the previous repairment patterns we believe that these contracts may be non performing and irrecoverable.

Then, in the latest report amidst the getting hotter share prices, they reported :
For the three months ended 30.06.2015 Earning per share of 1.29 rupees.
This is totally incorrect.

Actual EPS of the last three months is 32 cents.

They have still not corrected it.
No one from the so called respectable company or CSE/SEC has shown any concern about this misleading public information.

Thank you for your genuine reply regarding my post.
I spent nearly two days to come to conclusion whether SFL doing fraud to cheat innocent small investors. Because I couldn't believe that they are planned manipulation and asking my self , how this is possible????

Now, what action taken by CSE,SSE and other authorities doing for this planned manipulation??? Nothing.

This is a public company. This is planned fraud to do something also to cheat innocent investors. They have continuously doing this every quarter financial sheets. It doesn't matter that Daya Gamage or Wijeratne family involved in this company. My options is fraud is fraud.

This is very very bad for reputation of srilanka market. Because CSE, SSE OR ANY AUTHORITY didn't take action and SFL NEVER corrected.

This is not criticising any particular share because of going up or down.

We clearly see misreporting in their reports and they have not corrected. That's all.

The company could be a golden egg or a rotten in the wrap of gold. We don't care.

It can be mammoth JKH or a small SFL . That is immaterial. It may go like sky rocket due to what we do not know yet.

We talk what we see in reports . That's all. We do not get inside information.

As people do not get private information, they will guess some kind of practice to increase next EPS , related to losses made during last year.
Non performing - performing ...

Gamage's bought price is not a referral point for others to value a share.
I think you have no idea of what happened to other well known business tycoons and experienced investors after they bought Galadari , LGL, GREG and many more during last few years.
