1. Look at the EPS compare with others/leaders
2. Compare the EPS with last quarters to ascertain if there is a growth (minus or positive and how much
3. Look at growth rate QoQ
4. Look at NPVs
5. look at PBV,
Compare all these
1. with the same company's previous quarters etc
2. with the leaders of the industry

Sri Lanka All Share Index (7,284) continued its upside rally for the second consecutive month as index breached 7,200 levels. From here we expect the uptrend to continue in the Sri Lankan markets with the All Shares index expected to head towards 8,000 levels in next 3-4 months. The maximum downside for the index lies at 6,800 and we do not see the index below that.

Thank you for the link. We should promote both Sstar and EPS as real experts.We need their contribution lot specially in the remaining stages of current bull market. They know how to identify big move in some stocks.

Please buy winng stocks. They can come from the following groups.

1.Groups having very positive outlook and which can deliver above average results

2.Momentum stocks due to turnaround, surprise profits, takeover or some other reasons

3.Currant loss making companies or companies having less than expected earnings which can deliver attractive results in the future due to turnaround and positive outlook in their industry.

Concentrate on food and beverages companies such as BFL, GRAN,TAFL,KFP,CCS..these are the winning stock for this year...in addition i feel that VONE will give a good return in this year

Technical Snapshot as per the report

JKH Holding (LKR 200) breached the important support of the channel at LKR 240 levels. From here we
expect weakness to continue in the stock in coming days.
Previous Months Call: AVOID
Present Call: AVOID
As per my understanding this is the worst investment advice someone can give by looking at the current market. Of course the technical shows sharp dip in the price due to so called “Foreign Sell”. But we all know the behavior of JKH when it comes to “Foreign Sell” and “Foreign Buy”. High Net worth Investor’s uses those two terms to buy and sell shares respectively.

I prefer the Present Call: Step Buying during downward trend

This is not a matured market to take investment decisions only depend on technical charts. (Fortunately I have very little technical knowledge). These charts can be very easily manipulated to generate Buy and Sell signals.

I think their next month call: You should have bought during last month down trend

Note: I still remember one CEO of a broker firm told me that he was personally buying JKH@205 levels when it suddenly dropped from 240 due to so called foreign sell, even though technical shows clear Sell signal at that price

Another broker say buy JKH. We have to wait and see.

I have my own strategy to buy and sell stocks. Still we make mistakes. However my thinking is next week both COMB and JKH should go up.

In a way we should be happy that JKH had some pullback. DIAL also has come down. As a result of this market P/E ratio has come down dramatically. On top of that we are seeing attractive earnings from many companies including surprise earnings and turnaround situations. Therefore market has great value. We can find out lot of value stocks in the market. Currently some companies and groups have not reported attractive earnings but their industry should improve towards end of this year. Overall there are opportunities for all type of market players such as investors, traders, contrarian investors and professional investors etc. So we have some great opportunities in the stock market

Asha has NOT recommended buying all the stocks you have mentioned above. Some are HOLD , some to be bought when certain price levels are passed, etc.

Also this is only a technical analysis. Do further analysis before deciding ((ex: fundamentals of the stocks).
