How many shares you bought? And why didn't you bought when the price was @ 56 and go ahead to buy from 64? Why you wait the price to move up by 8 rupees to execute? I feel you haven't bought any share today.

Couple of things. You said you bought LITE @ 8 and then  posted that it came down to 7.20 and also you don't have enough money to buy and average it. Lets park this aside for a while.

Now you are posting saying you bought GRAN 700 shares @ 64 which should cost you 44800. Also you said that you are going to keep LITE for 6-7 months till the market settles. Now I assume you have both LITE & GRAN. In that case the posting about LITE is a lie meaning you have money to invest.

My question to you is why you are spending 44,800 in GRAN rather than spending on LITE. If you spend that money to buy LITE you could have bought 7400 shares for 6.00/6.10 today. I don't know how much you bought @ 8 rupees but assuming you bought equal amount now you could have average it down to 7 rupees easily. If you had lessor than that your average cost should be be less than 7 rupees. With the expected dividend in next quarter now your dividend yield alone would be 7%. This should be coupled with capital gain for holding the stock.

Now I can see some mismatch with your own posts. My conclusion is either you don't have neither of these shares or you have money to buy stocks. What ever is the case there is some mismatch for sure.

And as an investor and a senior member my advice to you is both these shares are very good in fundamentals as well as valuations and if you have one of these or both of them keep them till the market recovers. Further if you have money buy some more when the prices come down.

Think this is enough for you and you can filter what ever you like. Thanks

Market is preparing to end the day pretty strong. T/o is 2.5bn. Very good signs for strong tomorrow as well. Some shares are in price band. Look at ALUF for example.

I do not think CGT will affect the market

CGT charge on price difference Buying price and selling price

If you have good profit you have to pay tax

Any way people will expect good margin They will not sell
with out sufficient profit

Govt will have to make extra effort to increase the profit Then govt income also will be increased

Under present situation there won't be any capital gains
Because no profit at all

The Tax Expert who recommended CGT to be applicable to share market instead of STL must have wanted to generate business to audit firms, without realizing that the present market situ is not conducive for such a move.
