Some promote VONE expecting 30 levels few weeks ago. Now no one is speaking on it. Any possibility to go up?

I got inside infor that VONE should go 26+ minimum [...and could be 35/=]... ....i received the information 1.5weeks ago...

I am on no profit no loss situation. Should I go for another or wait for some times? I am holding it for more than two months now.

Two months ago price was 15/=, last week it hit 22/40. The share has appreciated by 7/= and you must have made a profit of 45%.How come you are on no profit ?

I was about to say the same when I saw your message. Unlike couple of years ago when there is a sudden increase in share price for about 25- 30% it does not sustain the rally. I sold when it went up to 21 within 2 days it was below 21 after passing 22 only for an hour. It can go up later after correction. Even if you say long term investment, if there is a drastic increase you should realize profits.

Well I had only 1000 at a higher price before I collected little more during recent past. Now the average price is around. 20 +. I had an unrealized profit too. But looking at Rs.30 level I did not disposed. Now my holding is 30,950

Actually I did not do any study. having considered the recent acquisitions and the investments had in subsidiaries I thought it may go beyond 25 levels. That was the motivation to buy.

In this forum some expressed that it will be the next JKH! that is too affected to my decision.

i m in this for long term. Not intending to sell any. I have set aside the money that i can afford to loose / not needed in immediate future. Therefore I am not worried about small price fluctuations.

Over the past years I have seen, this share has been controlled, making sure not to have sharp fluctuations. We would normally assume that any owner would want to see the share prices of his company going up. But it wasn't the case. In the 1st or the 2nd week of launch, there was a hyper about VONE and it was trading at 32. then somehow it was brought down to 30. From that time there were several attempts to pass the 30 barrier but there was millions of sell orders at 30 gradually lowering the price. Which clearly illustrated how the price brought down artificially.
It will take one or two years for the investments to start bringing revenue to the group. Then vone will start moving gradually. Therefore dont just buy shares because they acquired another company.

How do you think Dhammika / Nimal would handle a regime change ?
This has always been at the back of my mind. Any thoughts ?

DP's financial institutions LB Fin, SAMP, PAPB all have heavy pawning portfolios which are granted with almost no margin of safety on collateral. Gold prices are down 17% year to date which will cause these companies to take a massive beating on both interest income and loan loss provisions which will be more pronounced in June quarter results as gold prices fell hard in April.
VONE will be affected by this as a holding company. So be careful punting on all these shares.

Last few days foreigners are buying into Sampath bank....around 2 weeks ago, foreigners were buying LFIN..Last month Japaneese company bought PABC...We locals are affraid of gold prices and selling SAMP, LFIN, PABC and VONE at cheaper prices...These multi million cpmapnies definitly will have a mechanism for risk managemnet....foreigners do not trade shares..They invest in shares after deep research..So think well before you buy these shares and think very well before you seel your shraes at lower prices by panicking for temporary setbacks in the market such as gold price fluctuations..

You can buy all these at lower rate before the gold price increased again!

I dont know anything about what foreigners are upto deffa SAMP is a better priced now.
