people are stupid one said if market come to 6020 tax cut is useless. tax cut will impact next year profits . even profits are high people may behave differently. niwton once said i can solve any physics theory but cant mesure stupidity of people (after he loosing money on stock market) any way one should buy a stock for fundamental reasons tax cut is not for short term traders.

I want to be an investor but I realised Srilanka is not a good county to invest. To invest a country should have a future. Srilanka doesn't have a bright future. Any time things can go south, No stability. India and Bangladesh are far better than Sri Lanka. Educated people are educate themself and leave the country. Without good knowable people, a country can't be developed and can't achieve stability. Investors do not like fluctuations. Even 3% Ok if the county macroeconomic conditions are stable. My plan, somehow to invest foreign stock exchanges. Sri Lanka is good to get some profit when a special event occurs such as elections. Smile

Now the Market is over 200 points down and corrected.

A big "buying signal" appeared.

some of you must have received a call from your "beloved" Broker saying that its buying time.

But...  keep in mind that still some favorite shares are over valued.   AEL  , TKYO , MGT ,  REG ,  ACL ,  GRAN ... all of them are over valued and will be corrected further.

So what to buy then....?

Its the LAND & PROPERTY sector...!!!!

Some counters in L&P sector will be appreciated by minimum 100% . the reason behind is L&P sector was beaten to the bottom in last 4 years which will be corrected sooner. also the new Governments development process will create a huge appreciation in Land value .

Bank counters also benefited from new Tax proposal and will be appreciate by 10% - 15%.

And the holding companies .
(JKH has the potential to move up to 200 very soon. )

JKH was once shot up to Rs 300 /-  a few years back ,  due to the same news .

With the Casino license in mid 2020 we can expect the price to fluctuate around  200/= - 225/=

I was told revenue from casino so big (have share with Genting) & spill over to hotel & shopping that income will be super large. I was given figure much much high than 225. Possible?

your losses without sinking in it

Recognize Trends. Only takes “educated” risks!
Stocks don’t go down and stay down because of stories, tips, or people’s opinions; they go down for specific reasons. Find those reasons, and then act on your own knowledge.
Don’t let unfamiliar terms scare you.
Risk and return are married, and they’re never going to get divorced. There is no return without risk.
Stock markets can make your money work for you. All you need to do is to push in your earned cash at the right place, right time and right price.
Take care and all the best!
Happy trading
