Private placement at LKR 6.85 | Subsidiary divested and some funds in | YET, dumping at LKR 6.00 - 6.10 .. WHY ?

The private placement , and Subsidiary disposal is just negligible amounts.

The big one I m waiting for is Anilana rights. if its a rights it has to be attractive and has to be given at a discount than the market price. Its happening the other way here, which gives a signal that some investor/investment going to come in with rights. ALHP is not that liquid, can be easily pushed up. i see something similar to ACME & MGT

CSF dumping taking place is may be the price need to be brought down to make the merger/acquisition of the Bank workable. I dont think any bank would want to buy CSF at higher price when its NA is far below the market price and when its core opration is loss making. if the disposal of the subs bringing in Capital gains, this would increase the net asset values. but theses has to come from ALHP,MHDL disposal.. second reason the prices of CSF coming down may be panic selling..When the market is going up, and all the shares breaking levels, who wants to hold this and loose money..

Do not buy CSF until it takes the U turn, coz we dont know who the bank, and what price they are going to buy CSF

When above starts happening one by one..i.e AHPL and MHDL pushed and disposed CSF will show some value, with the buying bank creating value to its operations

HNB has agreed to buy Nation Lanka Finance PLC for Rs.10 per share according to market sources.

However Nation Lanka Management has been advised to sell all other subsidiaries of Nation Lanka group and HNB will thus only buy the finance company in a deal that will happen at Rs.10 per share.

CSF (Nation Lanka) shares seems attractive at this price so.

Possible to Bounce around 6Rs levels or Slightly below if this selling continues 5.20-5 ...

Is that a reason HNB moved dramatically impending the decision cheers

I am Not misleading...That Nation Lanka Management who said Emerging Market Fund is going to buy CSF by only crediting Rs.8 million only mislead stock market investors.

That Emerging Market Fund was bought by former GREG Management Scot Newsome and Kosala Heengama.

Wait and see HNB will own two former Ceylinco group companies after consolidation one is Ceylinco Grameen which is now Premalal's Prime Grameen other is former Ceylinco Finance which is now Asanga & Nawaloka's Nation Lanka Finance PLC.

It is not the reason HNB moving.buying CSF will not trigger appreciation in share price. It has not appreciated when they bought Prime Grameen.

It is due to the value of the company & it is due to current banking sector run.

What ever i am selling @ 200.

This Forum is a Social Media space; in Social Media people share what they know.

Dear Sarabulathwita imagine if i was the Chairman of HNB or a Director of CSF then you will never ask me about sources. In this world there are no sources as such everything was named, discovered and invented by people...humans...if you go to 6,000 years before some body said Elephant to a Barking small four legged animal that is a best friendly animal of man...we would have been calling Elephant to Dogs by now. Those days no person asked about a source and even now the same.

What people know they share..that is how even Wikipedia was founded...in the begining British and some American universities banned referencing Wikipedia because Encarta and Encyclopedia Britannica sales came down.Today Encyclopedia Britannica is only a collectors' item. And Wikipedia is updated every second.

World is like that no body cares about sources.Even Bible and Quran was written by people who lived 5 centuries after Jesus and Prophet Mohommed so today no person ask about sources of it.

Same with Mahawamsa,Ramayana and even 555 Jathaka stories. In Sri Lanka 555 Jathaka was started to compile properly under King Walagamba's time...Walagamba was not even a King coming under royal blood...when Sri Lankan Kings and Royal families fought each other and killed each other those days...the tradition was to take 'Royal Elephant' of Dead King to street and who ever Elephant bends down in front would become the king...so Walagamba was in his garden doing some other work and walking Royal Elephant who came with the crowd bend down in front of him...in which case Walagamba became King of Sri Lanka and disposed many royal assets to poor countrymen and he secured some old worth assets underground.Today many Presidential regimes who came after 1950's in Sri Lanka has been digging those many treasures what Walagamga kept for safely underground and now has been sold to treasure hunters of China...Wlagamba did many works for the betterment of Buddhism and even those no body asked about sources when Walagamba encouraged writers to compile 'Atuwa Tika' and Buddhist History.

I am not Herodotus or Senarath Paranavithana by the way...but someone who lectures about misunderstandings on global history to many other experts.I have been recognized, adjudged and awarded for that under many bodies.

Take Care Sarabulathwita...

No shares I hold.

I only shared what is going to happen for the best interest of the forum members.

Have a good bulathwita and start buying if you are interested.

Any how ... only future price action would let us know.
This is the only one yet to move...a share for the traders.....

The share has all the signs of a Falling Wedge... which is a reversal pattern and a Bullish Pattern.

Also i see the Positive divergence on MACD..... and between 6.1-5.35 a reversal can take place with a stop loss around 4.80 target equally better @14Rs

So do your own due diligence .....

i will follow up with a video (2nd one on CSF)

Patience is the key

Falling Wedge (Reversal)

The Falling Wedge is a bullish pattern that begins wide at the top and contracts as prices move lower. This price action forms a cone that slopes down as the reaction highs and reaction lows converge. In contrast to symmetrical triangles, which have no definitive slope and no bias, falling wedges definitely slope down and have a bullish bias. However, this bullish bias cannot be realized until a resistance breakout.

The falling wedge can also fit into the continuation category. As a continuation pattern, the falling wedge will still slope down, but the slope will be against the prevailing uptrend. As a reversal pattern, the falling wedge slopes down and with the prevailing trend. Regardless of the type (reversal or continuation), falling wedges are regarded as bullish patterns

NATION LANKA FINANCE PLC (CSF.N0000) - Page 4 Fallin10

Prior Trend: To qualify as a reversal pattern, there must be a prior trend to reverse. Ideally, the falling wedge will form after an extended downtrend and mark the final low. The pattern usually forms over a 3-6 month period and the preceding downtrend should be at least 3 months old.

Upper Resistance Line: It takes at least two reaction highs to form the upper resistance line, ideally three. Each reaction high should be lower than the previous highs.

Lower Support Line: At least two reaction lows are required to form the lower support line. Each reaction low should be lower than the previous lows.

Contraction: The upper resistance line and lower support line converge to form a cone as the pattern matures. The reaction lows still penetrate the previous lows, but this penetration becomes shallower. Shallower lows indicate a decrease in selling pressure and create a lower support line with less negative slope than the upper resistance line.

Resistance Break: Bullish confirmation of the pattern does not come until the resistance line is broken in convincing fashion. It is sometimes prudent to wait for a break above the previous reaction high for further confirmation. Once resistance is broken, there can sometimes be a correction to test the newfound support level.

Volume: While volume is not particularly important on rising wedges, it is an essential ingredient to confirm a falling wedge breakout. Without an expansion of volume, the breakout will lack conviction and be vulnerable to failure.

As with rising wedges, the falling wedge can be one of the most difficult chart patterns to accurately recognize and trade. When lower highs and lower lows form, as in a falling wedge, a security remains in a downtrend. The falling wedge is designed to spot a decrease in downside momentum and alert technicians to a potential trend reversal. Even though selling pressure may be diminishing, demand does not win out until resistance is broken. As with most patterns, it is important to wait for a breakout and combine other aspects of technical analysis to confirm signals.

NATION LANKA FINANCE PLC (CSF.N0000) - Page 4 Fallin11

FCX provides a textbook example of a falling wedge at the end of a long downtrend.

Prior Trend: The downtrend for FCX began in the third quarter of 1997. There was a brief advance in Mar-98, but the downtrend resumed and the stock was trading at new lows by Feb-99.

Upper Resistance Line: The upper resistance line formed with four successively lower peaks.

Lower Support Line: The lower support line formed with four successive lower lows.

Contraction: The upper resistance line and lower support line converged as the pattern matured. Even though each low is lower than the previous low, these lows are only slightly lower. The shallowness of the new lows indicates that demand is stepping almost immediately after a new low is recorded. The supply overhang remains, but slope of the upper resistance line is more negative than the lower support line.

Resistance Break: In contrast to the three previous lows, the late February low was flat and consolidated just above 9 for a few weeks. The subsequent breakout in March occurred with a series of strong advances. In addition, there was a positive divergence in the PPO.

Volume: After the large volume decline on 24-Feb (red arrow), upside volume began to increase. Above-average volume continued on advancing days and when the stock broke trend line resistance. Money flows confirmed the strength by surpassing their Nov-98 high and moving to their highest level since Apr-98.

After the trend line breakout, there was a brief pullback to support from the trend line extension. The stock consolidated for a few weeks and then advanced further on increased volume again.

I am not sure about the price Dk says HNB acquiring CSF though, technically i have been eyeing CSF, so we will see how this pans out...

I doubt the risk of closure Very Happy unlike PCH or TWOD

I feel with smart money is trying to enter lower with Positive Divergence detected on this counter.

If you have some spare money you earned, indulge with limited RISK ....
Limited RISK = Trade with money you can afford to loose (it should be less than 2% of your PF)

It's quite interesting to hear that you are looking at stock in the nature of CSF.

It seams like we all are in the same root. Razz Razz Razz

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what you buy , it is about when you enter & exit. And when times are bad how you manage your risks.

Well just for curiosity i started to dig in the CSF announcements.

The New Foreign Investor has an option to subscribe Warrants 1:1 @9.99. Initial Investment was stroked @6.85.
Why is that @9.99. Something interesting......

If the Deal with HNB as stated by DK to be finalised, surely at the preliminary rounds of negotiations HNB would have insisted CSF directors should bring in a new Investor by way of a PP that should limit their stake @29.9%
Now that the 1st deal was concluded and 2nd phase is on going with divesting part of existing operations.... HNB could come in to finalise the deal @ or above 9.99.....

Surely i dont understand they bought part @6.85 and has an option to exercise to convert unlisted warrants most possibly when HNB ink the deal to finalise the full takeover.

It is prudent to assume GEM Global Yield would deffa would not go through alone with a PP @9.99 price if they are not convinced of a willing partner on the side and in the magnitude of one of the Top Banker.

I think the mystery of 9.99 will be clear.... soon....

Is there a connection of 10Rs stated by DK and this 9.99 .....

Sometimes these are interesting.... to find out.....

The share trading @ 6.10 has more room to further below towards 5.30ish....
Neutral So no trade as of now... In a falling wedge we should see after prices falling a short consolidation with a retracement and retest of last support. i will clear this with my 2nd video for those who are holding CSF. That should bring some clarity.

We need to keep watch on 2 things the price action and positive divergence.

so lets do some home work on this share.

BTW - OSEA should see upward move very soon, it has all the hallmark of a breaking HIGH cheers

I am sure the deal must be above Rs 5. As Aanga S contributed the pp at 5 few years ago. Though central bank wants, he is much powerful than Ajith Nivad Ca.... . I believe AS will first push this to a higher level so that rest of the money from pp will bring at higher price (as per the formula used by new investor). Doing so NAV would be improve to some extent since fewer shares would be issued. Then he can settle the consolidation deal at a higher price with hnb or some one.
