Got to know from brokers this is due to forced selling. What they say is after forced sales are over this will start the rally again.

I feel it will pass at least 8 in near future again.
Since the XD was yesterday, today some kind of drop is possible..
There fore don't panic and sell with a such massive loss.

For the timing, if it is possible, it also can be eliminated through a day trade.. Wink

As per your posting...you have bought 1mn @ 8/- & then again you say its on credit ...so that means you must have at least a 16mn portfolio....

If 's me instead of selling at a loss will sell some other stock on a profit & settle the PAP...

also I wonder why still you have not gone for MT if you have such a 16mn portfolio...? scratch

If you are a trader how did u miss selling it when it was at 8.60-8.80? If you bought in to em to hold in long run then just keep it aside and wait, it might go pass 12 as your brokers said or if not you will get a chance to exit with a minimum loss, but don't try to sell at this price! cheers

As per the analysis available in this forum you can identify whether there is any valid reason to by this shares. So, Rs 8 per share is not a supported value by the company stats.

But it is obvious that most of us were chasing this share and there was a reason to buy for quick profits as market was sensitive to purchases by big investors whether it was correct or wrong. But, you have purchased with part financed by credit.

I hope broker credit interest per day would be around Rs 930 for 2 mn, so it would be better to evaluate your holding capacity and expected gain from PAP together with the expected duration for that gain to realize. Then you can decide whether to sell other shares or PAP to pay for credit.

When there is a rally like this it would be always good to purchase gradually but not with credit.
Hope this would help you to some extent.

This is what we've been telling for sometime.. Ppl dont know what they're buying.. Ant still they buy a big some of it and then worry when its dropped..
You guys should have the common sense of not buying bulks like HNWIs if ur not into an acquisition or interested on a director position. Wink
Simple facts.. whn u buy, do it little by little.. And avoid credit as much as possible these days..

OK.. the solution to ur problem is to dispose some of the other stocks and also a little bit of PAP as well to settle the charges..
Keep in mind to avoid these costly mistakes in future..

Hmmm,,, people who have knowledge to invest are suffering because they are poor and small retailers but it seems rich guys who need quick large gains don't have knowledge on even simple capital market principles.

Over 850 million PAP shares traded during week 6th - 10th June 2011.

A lot of this was day trading and churning, but PAP has only 500 million shares.

The major shareholder, Power Hub, said they sold 68 million shares on 9th June 2011, but I am surprised that no formal announcement has been made from any buyers buying more than 10% in PAP.

The SEC's Company Take-overs and Mergers Code requires disclosure of 10% stakes within 2 market days.

Press stories said that Emagewise (Dilith Jayaweera) bought 20% of PAP on 6th June 2011, but where is the disclosure then ? We are well past 2 market days.

Have they forgotten to disclose, or did they day trade and sell ? Do they have under 10% now ? What is the SEC doing about this ?

Who are the major shareholders of PAP now ? Power Hub Malaysia has only 28% after the sale.

Lots of unanswered questions, the answers to which may help decide what to do with PAP, fundamentals aside.

Well the brokers always have something to say. Don't believe those idiots! Just ask yourself that whether the company can sustain the price levels in the long run before you buy any stock. If you are too lazy to analyze then always allocate a little portion for this type of speculative buys.

Most of the investors(???) do not bother in what stock they invest. They need is quick money. Due to that they may loose some hard earned money. I am pretty sure most of the investors, who chased EAST and BLUE have no idea about what kind of business activities they do. Even they don't worry about EPS or NAV. When we tried to enlighten this, they say "this is CSE". Our market should return to fundamental. Otherwise another market crash is no longer.

Fundamental or Speculative.....I think we should keep an eye on price of a share and analyse whether it is over-valued,fairly-valued or under-valued and look at the trend of the market very very carefully and finally take the decision to invest or not by urself.
