I presume everyone here has a different definition of the word "manipulation", and a lot of recent movements can be traced back to simple crowd psychology triggered by some who intended exactly that.

If you mean to ask which shares are likely to have bull runs and/or skyrocket without much logical explanation, important news or improved performance over the next week or two, my bet's on PCH. As mentioned in another post, there are rumors about a large buy, but sometimes they remain just that, rumors.

Personally I think we will see PCH trade well above average volumes next week, just like the last 4 days. I would not be surprised if this breaks 25 quickly. There are no reasons for my opinion, it's just a hunch, nothing more.

There is only a fine line between manipulation and Market behavior. However, I also feel PCH may move during the latter part of next week. I don't have any insider information, but looking at the last two days price movements coupled with the volumes just hints something may happen. Also, it's important to note that each and every share has it's own characteristics. One thing I have noted with PCH is that it always reacts to unknown information well in advance. (how? I don't know). One very recent example that I can quote is that just after PCH announced a 25 cents dividends, some one was dumping very large quantities. I always wondered why? but then came the financials and they fell short of EPS of Rs.1 (which was a psychological barrier for many investors) for the Financial Year. Dump in high 19's (div announcement) then collect at (low 18's) after financials. Not bad????

If you are a day trader it's good to keep an eye on PCH next week.....Please note this is not a BUY recommendation....What I know is what you know...nothing more..

I think manipulators are the only people who know the next manipulating share before the manipulation. Followers know after the manipulation, But you can guess and buy, following manipulators means you have been caught by manipulators. But You might be able to earn some money while manipulator are earning millions with in few days. if not you may donate your money to manipulators by making a loss.
PCH could be next manipulating share some says FLCH, who knows?

PCH will be manipulated in the next to back to 18 not to 25...Just c and wait! It will be force selling week for PCH...the rally is yet to come..it is not next week..this is my personnel view not for buy/selling/holding recommendation.

m2_yapa, even the scenario you describe is very much possible. Maybe some people have already earned big money during the last 4 days, who knows?

We'll all be a bit wiser by Monday afternoon I guess, even more so by Friday afternoon. Let's revisit this post then and analyze what happened (or not). And thanks for the -rep, whoever it was. If anyone doesn't like my posts, don't read them, they are only my own opinion and analysis.

your observations are highly impressive. Everybody knows PCH once went up to 32.20 .However after it's deep drop for the fist time yesterday it reached 3 months highest price of Rs. 22.00 . As you clearly say PCH sets for a run. But m2_yapa also highlighted a very valid point. If we consider all these factors we should be patient little bit and enter at the right time. And also my view is once you enter, immediately plan for exit at a good time in a short period. I dont think we should buy this share asa long term investment yet.

You're comment is right on the spot. Everyone knows what happened, and many still hold bitter grudges against the company and abuse it of all sorts of things in this and others forums. I'm no advocate of PCH, neither have I ever analyzed the company in detail, nor bought any of their merchandize. I just post what I know, think and hear. If anyone's to blame for the bull run and immediate downturn in January/Februart, it's those who are responsible for both, and that hardly is the company itself. Anyone can open cse.lk and figure out how many shares Dr. Senthiverl first bought and then sold during those days, and then do their own math as to who's responsible. But it's easier to blame the rest of the world and shoot the messenger (the -rep I got for this post says it all) than to reflect and learn from one's own mistakes.

I fully agree with you that PCH is not a long-term investment yet, at least not if you are willing to hold for 2-3 years or more. Anyone who buys it these days should have a clearly defined exit point, and stick to it regardless of what happens. Unfortunately greed often gets the best of us. That said, I don't think it's a right or wrong time to enter thing. Runs like the ones we recently saw from PAP, PMB, CLND, etc. happened during an overall downtown of the market, one of the worst of the past two years. Everyone makes money when the market's are up, very few people make money when the opposite is the case. The key is to identifying runs before they take place, or when they've just started, and my opinion re PCH stands. Maybe I'm completely wrong and 22 is the best it'll do for the next few quarters, but I just don't think so.

I also closely monitor this share. Every day their trees are growing and the value of the biological assets is inceasing. I heard that some of their plantations are now genarating income. Gradualy their income from the harvest would be increased and major potion of net profit would be from the timber very soon. By that time not only just enhance book value of the assets but the company could genarate a good income from their plantation and shareholders too would receive a attractive dividend.

However, expected growth would be achieved in mid/long term and most of the investors do not want to hold any share so long unless he/she is a long term investor.

I too believe this share is higly undervalued. Therfore in case that court case is over in favour of the company in any time the price would be a skyrocket. Therfore someone can guess TWOOD price would go up during the next week since its next herering is now close.

I have no any defferent views on that.

As long as the court case is not settled, TWOD will not reach 50 levels. If there's a verdict in its favor, it'll break 50 in no time. kam2011's analysis is right on the money.

cse_investor, I totaly agree with you. In case of the verdit is in favour of TWOOD price will hit even 90/-I believe. If that is other way around price would be dropped but very little. In case a new hearing date is fixed it will drop back to the current position.(23/- 24/- level)
