@gayanath what did you have as shares?

if you maintain 1/4th policy, you never loose that is 1/4 as fd, real estate, gold, and shares when you invest,

shares also you need to diversify in several sectors, if you dont do it you lose millions

Beware , some says Colombo - and suburbs- real estate also at peak.
In some areas lands sold @ around 225,000 3 years ago , now they set selling prices around 750,000 .

Apartment in some places, 3 BR gone over 35 million and lots of buildings are in making.

I can remember , land prices in my area went over 1 million per perch few years ago and then landed to 6 laks later.
Now people are trying to sell over 1.6 million, same area.

The cheap bank credit at lower interest rates triggered the boom in property prices. As at now the interest rates have virtually doubled to what it was 2 years ago and continues to rise. Hence, the bubble created has to burst for transactions to take place. The market seeks homeostasis at this stage.

Thanks for the explanation.

.. also for listed firms doing TB investments - may get troubles next 2-3 years due to same reason ?

Dear self claimed expert,

I don't ask anyone to buy those shares. Some are already reached to their true value.

Don't say every shares gone down in 2 years time.Say straight that you couldn't pick correct share at right time.

Yes.If it is war,you have to select arm producing/dealing company.Unfortunately arms dealing companies dealt with king family. Those are not public quoted companies in Srilanka.
