On Friday at the monetary policy meeting rate hike is very likely. CB need to control the credit growth and rising Inflation rate.

Any views on the pending rate policy decision? whether it'll go up down or unchanged.

Policy rate hike is inevitable sooner or later as inflation reaches to double digit level faster than expected.
All types of taxes imposed unknown to many, thrust common people to corner particularly onset festive season.

Because of the rate hike by the Federal Reserve Bank, it would be prudent for the Central Bank to raise interest rates at this time, given that our reserves are currently vulnerable. Hopefully, the cabinet approved Hambanthota Port deal will be inked once the President arrives back from Russia and many other investments that are in the pipeline would come to fruition. If you take a 12 - 20 month view of the market, it offers lot of potential and the continuous inflow of foreign buying seen over this year (though small) is a good indicator.
