THE CABINET RESHUFFLE IN THE AFTERMATH OF AN HUMILIATING DEFEAT FACED BY THE GOVT AT THE LG ELECTIONS IS AN EYEWASH.

IN MY OPINION A GENERAL ELECTION IN THE NEAR FUTURE IS INEVITABLE.

WHAT FRANKLIN ADAM'S SAID IS APPLICABLE TO SRI LANKA:
Country likely to face a General Election Quote-the-trouble-with-this-country-is-that-there-are-too-many-politicians-who-believe-with-a-conviction-franklin-pierce-adams-205406

That is your desire. This Government would continue for rest of the period and unexpected change would happen thereafter for the good of the country. Wait and see.

UNP's efforts to form their own Govt did not and will not materialize.

RW would prefer to be the opposition leader after a general election than being Prime Minister in a hostile alliance.

Remember, this is a shameless alliance that has been rejected by the people.

Reshuffling garbage with a shovel is useless!

So true, even if you want to stage a coup-al-detat (overthrow current PM & president) you can't because the Armed forces and the police are loyal to the President- they will shoot the protesters and the rest of the transgressors down! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Not necessary to stage anything b'cos several dramas are being staged every now & then by the Govt.
Like Autoimmune disease the Autoimmunity within the so called National Govt would do the needful without any external efforts.

I do agree that this government has done some blunders. Still, I prefer this administration as they have done some constructive work to build the economy. To mention a few such as regaining GSP plus, VAT amendment to increase gov. revenue, New Inland Revenue Bill, Allowing Rupee to have its correct value against USD, Gradually Building up our reserves up to 8bill USD as of 31/12/2017, regaining our rating from B- negative to B+ stable etc.

Apart from few of above economic reforms, politically too they have done a lot to rebuild our international image which was tarnished by MR administration and reinstate democracy in the country. Man in the street would not feel the results immediately and cunning politicians of MR gang had highlighted only bad side of the present administration which is negligible compared to what the previous administration did for our country.
Think twice before thinking of changing the present government and whether you like it or not it will complete its mandated period and if our ordinary man gets the brain to think intelligently, this government will continue further for a further period.
