few times, I noted the banking industry. it will ready to boost. we can see the long journey in February. not only banks, as well as other finance companies. highly undervalued and fundamentally strong shares trade in 10 years lowest price ranges(few companies). try to collect before went up, 50% gain sure at least.

Thank You for the correct understanding. Bank and Finance companies expected to generate relative losses within next 3months.

If we try to over value them now, Index will break within next month with high damage.

This is my opinion.

HNB - Annual report Announced 5th March 2020
SAMP - Annual report Announced 28th Feb 2020

Bank rally was disturbed by the two divided argument by the two different thoughts.
One side said DVD policy is not bad and next side said can't block money as we heading to the Q3 reports releasing months. They prefer to allocate cash for most rising stock in the season. Brokers also gave suspicious opinion about banks expected increase

Hi all,

In the current context of the market, I see a HUIGE potential in the BANKING stocks primarily based on following factors. The whole perspective, which was there in last August~December period is eroding at a faster phase than we think and FUTURE OUTLOOK for BANKS is EXTREMELY PROMISSING in COMING QUATERS.

The following are the CORE REASONS which I feel will ADD more FUEL to the GROWTH in Banking shares

Improvement in NPA portfolios and NPA settlements - The Banks recorded a massive NPA book resulted from the C19 impact and delays in loan repayments by its client which has now becoming completely REVERSED as the economic activities have reinstated as USUAL. Currently, even the tourism sector revived with the opening up of the AIRPORT since 21st January 2021. Hence, we cannot expect any more MORATORIUM instructions by CBSL pressurizing Bank further more. Additionally, the NPA loans tend to settle normally in a low interest situation coupled with increased economic activities as the borrowers tend to SETTLE BAD LOANS and take fresh facilities to take new business opportunities.

Settlement of Bad Loans and Reversal of PROVISIONS - Banks should ideally have provided 100% as provisions for Bad Debts probably by now and those will be reversed/booked to ACCOUNTS together with BAD LOAN SETTLEMENTS. This will be a massive GOLD MINE for all the Banks on top of the increased new business

Re-pricing of DEPOSIT portfolio - Banks have the majority of the Deposit mix under FIXED DEPOSITS and the all deposits taken at HIGH INTEREST RATES now has completed almost 9~12 months and NOW REPRICED at current LOW RATES. This would have adjust the NET INTEREST MARGINS of Banks and would now be able to operate with EXTRA COUSION than earlier which would result increased PROFITABILITY in new business

INCREASED ECONOMIC ACTIVITY in POST COVID-19 - Increased loan demand by the BUSINESS and  RETAILERS for ROAD CONSTRUCTIONS, HOUSING CONSTRUCTIONS, EXPORT, PHARMACUTICAL, PORT CITY DEVELOPMENTS, AGRICULTURE, etc promoted by the BUDGET 2021, which shall boost LOAN BOOK GROWTH increasing the REVENUE CHANNELS of the Bank

LOWEST NET BOOK VALUE as a SECTOR - The Banks are TRADING @ 0.57X times of NET ASSET VALUE. This means in case of a LIQUIDATION, an INVESTOR should ideally be paid 1X TIMES. [ e.g. COMB Net Asset Value Rs 137/- and now trading @ Rs 96/-. an investor to get Rs 137/- per share, if the Bank is bankrupted]

LOWEST PE ratio @ 5.29 where the CSE PE @ 13.11 - The EPS generated by the Banks are massive and historically Dividend Payout ratio is strong in Banks

During the last 9-12 months, what was felt that the hit spiked from COVID19 was passed to Banks by the Government to manage the kiosk and now it is being REVERSED

However, together with the LIFT in DIVIDENDS for FY 2020/2021 by CBSL, the banks are becoming HIGH VALUED DIAMONDS in CSE with HIGH level of GROWTH POTENTIAL in coming QUARTERS. The negative trajectory in EARNINGS may record a REVERSAL in coming QUARTERS and we can safely EXPECT MASSIVE GROWTH IN EARNINGS which will ensure POCKET FULL of RETURNS to the INVESTORS.

However, there may be triggered foreign sell calls occasionally which is primarily because of the low country rating but the CSE recorded many heights where foreigner being sellers. However, foreigners shall become net buyers with improved Post C19 economic climate, specially the Chinese as they have increased the stake in South Asia recently.[India]

ALERT - INCREMENTAL COLLECTION in ALL BANKS in CSE is the KEY for SUPER NORMAL RETURNS

Good Luck
