Don't worry over those things..the REEF was trading @ Rs. 1.50 ~ 3.00 in mid 2010 and all of a sudden with an announcement of a consolidation of shares & again a split then Rights with Warrants and so go on....[cant remember the exact dates & prices as I do not keep a tab on those shit...] REEF moved to levels where no one ever thought of...LOL

This is Sri Lanka the miracle of Asia manipulation.....!

CITK & CITW are not in operation but Hikkaduwa Beach is a hotel already in operation and doing well i presume people will go behind this IPO and am sure By 24 Oct market condition will be soo positive as well ...

IPO price of Waskaduwa was 12.50 and Kalpitiya 17.50.

Correct.

Hikkaduwa Beach resort is the newly refurbished Reefcomber, the famous old hotel in Hikkaduwa tourist beach.

This was the only valuable property REEF had when the new owners acquired it. Then they made REEF as a holding company and transferred the assets of Reefcomber to a new subsidiary called Hikkaduwa Beach Resort.
This is its IPO.
They used about 300 million last years to add more rooms and that money was collected by a private placement. The hotel is functioning well.

I am waiting to see the prospectus and the reports.

Well thats an interesting thought. Any thing is possible in CSE. IPOs are a valuable tool for the rich people.

But the money from the pivate placement should go in to the balance sheets, so how could that be cooked?

REEF warrant 19 is one of my top listed investments due to the time frame.. All the valuations and ha-hu have been based on the hotel room increase in 2015 with the construction and due finish of 2 new Wasskaduwa & Kalpitiya hotels.

Then only REEF could be in the forefront of the hotel game.. But if they're dragging this day-by-day it seems not good for the health of REEF holders.

I heard the Kalpitiya construction work has been commenced but have to wait till we get some first hand news from a member who visited the location..

BTW, anyone know anythin new to share?

All these REEF groups shares are at a discount now imo... But definetely not worth 20 rupees till the hotel is setup. CSE could be the only place where u can list an empty land nd make money outta it Laughing

I'm not impressed how they handled money either but they cant do anything other than building this two hotels soon and win the investors. Else they may lose their credibility as well..

Dont worry since this is an IPO, Hikka cannot be another Divasa Equity where a 30-40 rupee worth share trading at 25X to that value lol!

1. The subscription of IPO will open on 24th and CITH.N will come to the market during mid-November. So there is no hurry for GTC orders.
2. Construction of CITW has already begun and will be open mid-2013. They have already started to market hotel through their agents.
3. Construction of CITK will start soon and they will build Villas first.

1. Normally your portfolio is filled wit the IPO shares a day before the listening, so u have enuf time to a put a GTC order at say 22 even to sell imo..

පසුගිය කාර්තුවේ අදායම නම හිතු තරම් ලාබ නැහැ. එය ඉදිරියට කුමක් වේවිද දන්නේ නැහැ.

HBRL ට අනුව මේ මිලියන 115 : පුටු 120 ක් දාන්න පුළුවන් තව හෝල් එකක් හදන්න, අලුත් රෙස්ටුරන්ට් එකක් හදන්න, නව වයින් බාර් එකක් හා මුහුදේ ජල ක්‍රීඩා පහසුකම් ලබාදෙන්න වැය කිරීමට නියමිතයි.

Important:
නිකුතුවෙන් පසු මාකට් එකට එන සමස්ත කොටස් ප්‍රමාණයෙන් 11% ක් පමණයි පිට අය‍ට අයත් වන්නේ.
මේ හේතුව නිසා මාකට් එකේ මිල කෙසේ හැසිරේවි ද කියා හිතා බැලිය යුතුයි.

It was closed for renovation for few months. This time it will not be closed and renovation will be done while the hotel is in operation. The real demand for Citrus brand can be measured by analyzing next 3-4 Q results.

By considering expending habits and type of tourists arriving to country, investing in 3-4 star hotels with above average customer service would be a wise decision rather than investing in 5 start hotels.

I see no reason why should anyone has hurry, when you can buy the same less than the IPO price a few days later after the first day of trading. Very Happy

Sri Lanka’s Hikkaduwa Beach Resort Limited, which is now in the process of raising Rs. 115 million via an IPO, has seen less interest shown by investors, during the opening day of the IPO.

The hotel firm, which comes under Citrus Leisure group, has only got 40 applications from investors during the opening day of the IPO which took place on the 24th of October.

40 applications, in total have applied for 90,500 shares, with the total value running up to Rs. 1.81 million.

Hikkaduwa Beach Resort is offering 5.757 million shares (5,757,390) at a share price of Rs. 20.

Stock analyst says, the present market weakness might be one reason for the less interest shown by investors.

Hikkaduwa Beach Resort is a star class hotel and is located in the South Western Coastal belt of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka’s tourism sector is steadily growing, with the country’s aim to bring in 2.5 million tourists by 2015 looks to be well on course.
