If any one believe , this happened due to war , click below link and see. Most of the world markets better but CSE worse. So understand the scenarios why CSE down. I use many tools to analyse

As a percentage , CSE is the worst in the world. This is not because of the world. This is due to policy changes and as a result foreigners exit due to rupee falls.

I feel sorry for people who sold yesterday. Panic selling. when all world markets were up and some marginally down. Sri Lanka down 2.2% . Absolute herd mentality I must say. I actually bought yesterday TKYO and CFVF and AEL! happy happy happy!

CFVF, good buy.. A share to watch closely..
If ASPI closes above 5,990 today, the bull run will start from next week.

As I have always said, there is no reason foe tge market to fall below 6,020, it's just irrational trading behaviour. Ppl who wanted to push down the market took the Iran crisis to trigger the selling. If you had followed the crisis, it was obvious that nothing was going to happen. Europeans will make sure of it, coz of their fragile economies. Panic sellers unfortunately fell for it and made unnecessary losses.

Now the market recovered back to the consolidation level I indicated (5,990 - 6,000) within a day. The bull run will start next week.

Sad state of Sri Lanka. One of the biggest stimulus package in history given for corporates. And ppl find something negative to drag he market down.. the fundamental fact is all the listed companies are going to make more money than before, coz of the tax cuts.. yes the gov will have trouble funding themselves.. but the first fact remains true.. I feel bad for the retailers that are scared off the market.. This negativity is whats holding Sri Lanka down!

This is what the stimulus package that Trump gave 5 years back is still doing for them.. Our ppl are busy finding faults in our package and the country is going no where.. 2,500 year great history mentality

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’ cabinet of ministers had cleared changes to tax laws to give effect to taxes that were slashed by the new administration.

The laws have to be passed in parliament. The Department of Inland Revenue had issued instructions to cut taxes before the laws were changed.

The changes were made to the Nation Building Tax (a turnover tax), Ports and Aviation Levy (an import duty), Economic Service Charge and Valued Added Tax.

The amendments already drafted were cleared by the cabinet and would not be published in the government gazette and presented to parlaiment

Changes were also proposed o to income tax laws to lift withholding tax, amend income tax rates.

The cabinet of ministers had also approved a proposal by the finance minister to instruct the legal draftsman to draw up changes to the law. (Colombo/Jan10/2020)

Shares will move within short range. There may be few big gainers and some big losers. Long term investors will not lose.
