Agree Samaritan.
HE President GR will take our Motherland on a development drive that will surpass the splendor & prosperity achieved by Dutugemunu, Vijayabahu, Maha Parakramabahu, Nissanka Malla & Parakramabahu VI. The glory of our 2500 year history will be restored by this great leader who vanquished Tiger Terror. May the Triple Gem bless Our President GR & our Mathru Bhumiya.

True Kipling. Imagine if there was corona outbreak two years ago, the number one would have said he came to know of it through newspapers, nobody brought it to his notice until he saw on TV the chinese lady coming out of IDH. The Prime Mover would have said he was not invited for meetings to discuss the matter as number one feared that he could be a potential carrier of the virus. In the mean time health monitor may have flooded the market with 'hydroxychloroquine' and blinking at the sales.CSE - IN POSTCOVID19 ERA Icon_lol

YP. No need to be insulting. I do agree that the 200 strong Bora Muslim delegation should not have been permitted to sit out India Covid 19 situation in the Bandarawela complex. It has a movie cinema & luxury villas. They say more like 7 star hotel. Even STF were Almost denied the ability to check the complex after the massacre of nearly 400 innocents on Easter Sunday.

Police brutality against peaceful protesters should be condemned and Govt should resort to damage control measures.

Some key factors that determine share prices at present:

1. How well and how soon the country can control the corona virus threat and return to normalcy? To this end we have to be happy that the threat has been brought under control to a very great extent.

2. Govt policies have a direct and phenomenal bearing on any stock market in the world (there are volumes of literature in relation to this).

Now that the date for GE has been announced. What could be the economic & other policies of the party or alliance that has high probability of forming a Govt? Will those policies be supportive to the CSE giving it a boost or not.

As at now, in my opinion don't solely rely on past performance or the last quarter result of a Company to make your investment decision.

At the same time pl don't forget that no one can predict the future. Future only can predict the future!

Central Bank cuts Statutory Reserve Ratio to 2%

  • Says the move will inject around Rs.115bn additional liquidity to money market

  • Says it will enable financial system to expedite credit flows to the economy while reducing cost of funds of banks

  • CB has cut SRR by 300bps so far this year and policy rates by 150 bps

The additional liquidity to the domestic money market should serve as a boost to CSE!
The market should gear into bull mode from today!
