The government should take necessary actions before things getting out of control. At least they should consider closing down the schools & religious places.

I don’t consider total lockdown is an option, coz this pandemic will be there for at least another year & we should learn to live with the virus “The new normal”

As investors we should focus on picking fundamentals and values & not to worry about short term price fluctuations. Otherwise you are making biggies rich !

Interesting that Whales like NP are so so different in outlook from us. I asked my broker Friday morning if giants like NP will sell to buy at the bottom. He burst out laughing. After seeing NP twitter now I know why I appeared a fool to my broker.
BTW who is Crew for Shoots?? Anyone know him.

Even singapore had a second wave and they didnt lock down the whole country. They just had their election as well.

However seems some most our retail investors have still not learnt a lesson from what happened in May.

No idea who he is.

Some brokers are in this to push people to sell so big fish can swallow everything. When sense returns to these sellers, big fish have already swallowed a majority at a bargain. Then they buy at higher prices than they sold. Laughing Laughing

Anyway whatever we say here, there will be some red days. Severity of the selling will depend on how the situation is controlled.

Also not sure if we can say this situation is not severe like navy. The navy cluster was identified during the lockdown period and exposure of Navy persons to civilians was limited due to the lockdown. When lockdown was lifted, i think it was mostly controlled inside the camps.

seeing the plunging market, I hurriedly injected considerable amount of money on friday to buy more. when i sent the transaction details to my broker, he requested me to stay away from the market for the time being.May be he is genuinely concerned about my investments but if we don't buy shares when others panic sell, when will we buy them? i mean isn't there any better time than this? I can understand staying away from shares which has direct implications with Covid such as hotels, leisure ect. But whats the harm in buying shares which has nothing to do or no major impact due to Corona which plunges because overall market is down? I mean specially when we know that Corona will be here with us for a long time and it is expected to be the Norm all over the world? I believe if the market price of a share is lesser than it's actual value, time that u purchase isn't that important if you have patience to sit back and watch.

I believe share prices are already more or less adjusted to expected decrease in earnings. Ex; JKH trading at 110, SAMP trading at 120, COMB trading at 75 ect.we can't think that HNWI buying in to shares blindly without making adjustments to earnings so i don't think it's logical to think that way. 2.5b turnover explains it. may be next week market will be red, but it is only for short time.

Yes DC true.
When I see NP car collection & compare that with my small 10 year car I can cry. With my education & qualifications I should have at least owned one of his less fancy cars. 😀 The difference between me & NP is character & belief in one’s decisions.

Not only you bro, most of us here in this forum including my self has done these mistakes at least once in our past. But the future depends on how we learn from our mistakes and not repeating the same in the long run. Like i mentioned earlier, Only those who invested with Margin loans and those who trade with money which is not disposable income, will go in to panic mode and rightly so. If you have invested your disposable income, like how warren buffet once said, if u have bought correct stocks at correct prices, no need to worry about market volatility as your shares will bounce back to its true value sooner rather than later, just like a rubber ball which is sunk by force should pop up once the force that holds it down disappear. so cheers and lets have some patience. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Exactly, Sell when Green not when it's Red. Buy when its Red and Sell when it's Green. Can't say there are no investors as there are many. but you could say most retailers are not investors but traders, and they are bad at trading. Very Happy Very Happy

NP is always play down the game
Should not follow him
We don't know where the bottom is
Don't follow the crowd, do your own studies, enter at the right time after analysing the history of the share.
Wait and see, you can't control the external environment, there for realize your profit at the right time without being greedy. That was happened last Friday.

This is only a impact of external factors which the investors cannot control.
Big investors already existed, and waiting to purchase before the elections.

As far as i am concerned HNWI have not quit but buying more in to dips. We can't expect only retailers to have a field day in the market making a 2.5 billion turn over. As far as i am concerned, those who sold were panic investors and those who bought were the big wigs.so Big investors quitting will be a phenomena i cant comprehend specially when markets go down.

True, if this is the case we should see no buyers in the order books. because if retailers are only interested in selling and HNWI or corporations have no interest in buying, then we shall see Red with less turn over. but last week that wasn't the case. there were lot of interest in buying.
