UNQUOTE:

Pakistan govt has brought the threat under control and people have learnt to live with corona threat. Similarly, the SL govt will bring this threat under control soon, as our population is not high as that of Pakistan. Tough preventive measures are not for us to panic and get alarmed. This is not the end but a manageable challenge. Think wise & act wise!

FYI Pakistan has not brought its covid situation under control. They are also not doing community PCR testing and hence not reporting actual number of cases. This is news coming from several of my Pakistani friends living in Pakistan. If you don’t believe my sources just take the example of the Pak cricket team which toured Eng recently. Prior to leaving Pak about 30% of players tested positive. They had to quarantine, delay and change the squad before leaving to Eng. again the idea is those infected cricketers would not have been identified if not for the testing.

Pakistan general public mostly also not wearing masks or social distancing.

However, there are not panicking! They are living with it. That part is true.

Good, people are not panicking and have learn to live it and the economy is moving in the growth trajectory with a well performing Stock Exchange. What more? until a vaccine is found.

Correct... that should be peoples attitude. Covid has been there since Dec2019... will be almost 1yr in a couple of months with no signs of wearing off until a vaccine is found. People and countries should get used to live around it by now.

Covid is part and parcel of life. We were blessed not to have social spread for 6 months. Well at some point its going to happen just like in any country. We are mot immune to it. Initial shock of 1,000 is now absorbed by the market. Now we will have smaller numbers popping up and it will go on till we find vaccine (hopefully end of December and by mid 2021 most will get it) and life will go on. SInce this is new to SL we as always react by panicking. India/USA stock markets are rallying since with the highest covid cases and deaths! SO don't panic just use this as opportunity to buy low and hold and things will be back to normal soon. That's the new normal!
