Ah, illu welcome back after very long time!!!

Are you still negative of the market or have your views changed now?

Presume you are into TPL? Yes TPL is well managed company. Somehow they recover profits after every fall. If Dec results are anywhere close to last year, yes it iwll be the highest earnings. The last year dividend can be repeared also.

Btw, any other sahre that caught your eye?

Somewhat curious ......to know  more about the basis of  this prediction !

specially in the light of following........
# As per WATA accounts released last ( Friday ?) week, their Tea sector has incurred a loss of Rs197 million in 9m-2013 compared to a profit of 74 million in 9m-2012.
#  As I remember Talawakelle  is mainly into tea.

I have not much knowledge/ understanding about plantation industry or companies. Probably there may be other reasons , like  differences in high grown low grown teas.

In 2013, it was low grown teas dominated the market and will be same for 2014 as well.

Adey, i am very very happy for our handsome boy u no hoo who has a lot of Ta-law-a-kelle (The Law of Jungle) shares.

I am thinking, could he be like Tarzan ? comming in top 20 i am spotting and he is telling also sometime ago.

but now, i think he is doing downward integration (going downstream) into ASIY & CTBL. and now NYSE level no ?

and technically only now follwing Tea Cup & Handle pattern looks like. some saying he also reading tea leaves from some sastra-karaya.

where to catch our good looker. only at tea time looks like.

Ta Ta till High Tea then !

Be careful with TPL KOTA BALA and other plantations who are only into rubber and tea cultivation.
If anyone wants to buy into plantation sector buy into ELPL or WATA cause they're more diversified. They can offset there losses arising from tea and rubber from palm cultivation. Price and demand for palm is stable

Yes.There are few hidden gems in the tea group.

It is time to follow Western high grown tea stocks. TPL also produce high quality western tea coming from environment friendly mountains and valleys in Sri-Lanka.Western high grown tea is trading premium to other tea varieties now.

High quality tea producers will outperform others in the coming years due to demand for high quality healthy tea. In addition, Tea companies’ exposure to western countries will benefit more due to higher USD in the coming months and years.

Do not ignore single stock in bull market as there are stages in the market. We should follow out of favour stocks as well.

@Teller , TPL is good, but it already near 52 week high and with best quality tea which is having very high demand for past 3 months, further increase in high quality tea price is very doubtful, Even though TPL should pass 70, going above 75 and stabilising I dont see. What you see from ur angle ?

Dear Teller

Actually good if these counters will pass Rs.200 !! I have very little qty from both. But, prices in good companies should go up if we have shares or not.
Both companies are owned by DIPD. DIPD will record a superb profit.
