This means no-one else will go to this hospitals.
No channeling.
No pharmacy sales etc.
And people will not go there for a long time even after the pandemic is over bcz of fear.
Its too early to say whether this could really boost or crash hospitals bottom lines.

What it means is these two hospitals are fully equipped with specialize teams and facilities to treat C19 Patients! separate treatment facilities are been setup and not with the common patients! Anyone with would like to have bit of luxury, definitely would like to visit a private hospital for such treatment!!
This is certainly a good business for NHL and LHCL hospitals!
Imagine 7,500-10,000 were charged in quarantine hotels per day, and people were so happily walked into them for two weeks and I'm sure this is certainly a welcome message to everyone! Also this will easy off the burden on government healthcare system as they are already fighting for capacity.
This is not a Buy/Sell recommendation.

Makes sense if they didn't then. Less burden to Asiri, Hemas and others.MoneyLover wrote:subash81 wrote:engineer wrote:subash81 wrote:ADVENTUS wrote:Seems like this will rise, a lot of interest building. This implied that other major hospitals such as ASIRI & HEMAS did not offer their assistance to provide C19 treatment facilities? (Lanka Hospital anyway owned by the Govt institutions). This is Bad!
May be they just want to maximize profits with their own facilities. ASIRI has 3 own hospitals in Colombo (Medical, Surgical & Central) and 3 more fully equipped regional hospitals (Galle, Matara & Kandy). So, I think they have an obligation to allocate one of their hospitals (either Galle or Matara) and support to treat a few hotels based treatment facilities as well, even at a cost. Because ASIRI earns profits by massive PCR volumes too.
HEMAS & Melstrcrop own/manage 2 hospitals each in Colombo surberbs.
