However, all companies have gross gain from exchange rate increases in 2020 first half.

Further, this shows a very expanded cluster result. As an example, Transport & Logistics shows 35% decline, but EXPO recorded a massive growth compare to last year !! COVID is a good challenge for the companies. This is a time to analyze & identify what are the solid companies and capabilities of the management etc..

The run started last time once the reports were published in August for EXPO, DIPD, HAYC.

This time everyone is positive about plantations and i am pretty sure ELPL, KVAL, TPL and other good companies which i might have missed In this sector will report good performance.

This time next week or week after results will be published. Analyze the past trend, estimate last quarter performance to be published and performance for next quarters. If you anticipate a upward movement from current prices, early get into the next rally before it still not too late.

*not a buy or sell recommendation
**Disclosure - Holding some of the shares mentioned above

@winwin - I can guess the shares that you are holding. I wish you all the very best and wish you to have an Awesome November ! 😊

What falls under 'Other Export Crops'? It has a massive increase of 148%
It's a pity that we don't have any listed company in IT/BPM sector. That sector is going to be a huge FX earner!

Well, I expect Q4 to be just the same !

They have global customers and change doesn’t happen over night. Under the current context, These shares are only subject to market risk where panic selling and manipulators bring down the index with the help of “fear”

In a way, being shareholders for these companies are good karma too. Help world fight the Virus 😊(Just a naive thought)

We can not expect EXPORTS to be better than last year like for like. Corona has disrupted the supply chain of foreign businesses as well. They are facing challenges as well with import restrictions.

However, Sri Lanka has done reasonably well from Jan to Sep period if you ask me considering what we are facing as a nation.

Even in exports it is important to analyse which sectors have contributed better that last year and which sectors have been impacted due to Corona situation. This will help identify good investment opportunities in CSE.

An interesting article which was published yesterday,

http://bizenglish.adaderana.lk/sri-lankas-export-performance-january-september-2020/

Below article provides details about which sectors have grown and fallen in exports respectively.

https://economynext.com/sri-lanka-exports-up-5-6-pct-to-one-billion-dollars-in-september-2020-uk-up-38-pct-74746/

Can’t agree more !! 🙈

I watched in few youtube videos and got to know that in many stock exchanges IT oriented companies are having a good time.
