US elections outcome with a strong possibility of Joe Biden winning will only be in favor to the developing countries. Covid is a threat to the entire world and not confined only to Sri Lanka and against all odds we are coping well in the control of the pandemic which is reflected by the low number of deaths.@Quibit wrote:S&P 500 tested 5/6 month lows, US elections looming, Covid still peaking...we are headed for a lot of turbulence in the next 3-6 months, no less

So, relatively the turbulence may be far less intense compared to other world nations. The Govt is expected to come out with a strategy to overcome obstacles and place the country in a development footing at the forthcoming budget. So, let's look forward to good news with a positive mindset.

In an economy driven on debt, do you expect all the retailers to be long term investors? Most of them are under margins and at the mercy of margin calls. Very few that are not, they too lack patience to hold on. Story of retailers in CSE!!!
